Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. died Wednesday at age 84, apparrently as a result of brain injuries suffered in a fall at home. He was a genius and an inspiration.

Vonnegut is one of my all time favorite authors ..The world is much darker place without him.

I just read A Man without a Country' - in which Vonnegut says, "(If I die — God forbid — I would like to go to heaven to ask somebody in charge up there, Hey, what was the good news and what was the bad news?)"
Good or bad, I have enjoyed reading this man's work for many years. Thank you sir, may you be at peace.

There will never be another like him. I've read nearly every one of his books, several of them many times, and will do so again.

Amazing writer and an amazing man. I read Slaughterhouse Five in the 9th grade, and I've been in love ever since. All of his books are definitely worth a read. I'd also suggest Welcome To The Monkeyhouse, one of his short story collections.
