Did anybody else see the little blurb on the Firefly movie in the new Entertainment Weekly (March 12th issue)? Not much of an article, and no real news, but there's a picture of Zoe and Mal and Jayne, and any publicity is good publicity, right?

I learned that Firefly DVDs have sold 200K copies. I didn't know that.

Ok, stupid question-- is 200K good?
Oh, bugger! Now I have to wait for someone to wake up!

There are no stupid questions-
It's apparently very good, because each article we see posted on here talks about how much the sales have exceeded expectations- I know we here at FFF keep hoping to get that number into the millions, but for now, 200k that exceeds expectations is ok by me -

considering that larger dvd boxed sets don't sell as well as single dvd's -- heck, yeah that's good.

"Yeah, I know. It was just funny."

I think the average price, at least from what I saw in retailers in VA, was $34.95. That gives us a figure of $6,990,000.00. Of course that is based on 200,000 sets. I am sure that the sets have sold in excess of 200k.
