Looks like the total is a little off, since you BOTH somehow managed to post at the exact same time lol. By my calculations the total should be 535k

I got 50,000.
So that should make 585,000.

So based on the numbers that poured in, it got me thinking that volume doesn't equal shares held. So I asked for some clarification and got the following responses.
Quote:
the "volume" noted for a particular stock is probably the amount of shares traded (bought, sold, shorted/covered) in the past hour or so. I'm not sure "how often" those figures are reflected. It could be within the past 24 hours...
I'm sure if that's wrong, or if it's a time period I don't know about, someone will correct it.

there is no way to tell "how many" shares of a stock is "outstanding" since HSX's Virtual Bank can issue as many shares of a movie stock (bond, etc.) as is demanded.
This is not like the real stock market, where you can only buy a stock if someone is selling it.
You can go to Faaborg's Analyzer site and see some of the volumes, etc., for stocks, but you won't find "outstanding" shares held, etc.
The reason for this is, HSX sells the data it analyzes from demand of a certain movie stock, and if there was a limit to the amount of shares issued, then they couldn't "realistically" figure out the demand for a certain movie, star, etc.
Here's the Faaborg's page for Firefly,

So based on that new information it seems my original request has turned into a fun exercise
with less value for analysis.total: 723,349
