I spoke to the guys running the Browncoat table and they said they would display it for me. And yes...I'm all better now. Thanks.
Later,
Mike

I'll be there, marching in the parade, but I'm with the Cincinnati 10th. You'll recognize me (and others) by the patch you see in the sig below!

Also, I am working on my Jayne costume (the one from Serenity with the "trophy shirt". I still need to land the "wing" pin from his left pocket (I have a cheesy substitute) and the chevrons for his shoulder strap as well as whatever that headwrap/hat/bandanna thing he wears into the Maidenhead Bar(so if anyone has any idea where I can get those, I'd be eternally grateful! read as: I'll get you swag from my store if I can score 'em!)

I'm also working on a "reaver" costume, but I'm not so good with the sfx makeup. The clothing should rock, and I have stage weapons a friend made, but the scarring/blood/radiation burns/teeth I am kinda sucky at. So failing that, I may fall back on Wash or alternate Jayne from the series (I already have a Heart of Gold outfit and Ariel "better in red" outfit).

Additionally my wife may be dressed as Final Battle River (if the dress gets done) and she'll be quite an obvious red haired elf dressed in green otherwise...you may have seen her last year, if you went, hanging out with the best Drizzt there (a drow elf from the Salvatore novels).

Mike,
I'll be there marching with the 76th Battalion in uniform, but I've heard it's hot in Atlanta, so I probably won't be wearing it very long. I also have a Kaylee jacket. I might wear it for awhile, but if it's really HOT, I will find something cooler to wear.

I'll be there this year. Been to Dragon Con ever year for eight years running. I will be in my 76th Independent Battalion costume marching proudly with the hardest fighting, hardest partying, best gorram unit in the 'verse!

You know, I can remember a few years ago when there was no browncoats visible at Dragon Con. When there was no browncoat fan table, no merchandise. It was just me and FireflyGal. We've come a long way since then.

I'll be there. I have a coat and a couple nice dresses and we'll see what can be done, but I'm gonna worry about paying for the plane tickets and hotel room first, so the costumes are likely to be... not too specific.

And I am not marching with the 76th. Just to throw that out there. Not every 'coat that's going wants to dress up and play soldier.

They might not want to PR, but some of us do and we are going to have a blast! The 501st will soon be overshadowed by our shinyness!

Even if you are not going to march with us PR, it sure would be nice to meet you and put a name to a face. I'd be honored to buy you a drink if you're up for it. Be sure to stop by and tell us grunts "howdy".

Hey, if you want to put a face to my name, check out any of the picture threads over in Talk Story. I'm registered with the Cam Companions Guild of FFF.net
And I have many friends and potential lovers marching with the 76th, so I'll hardly be ignoring them. Just thought I should point out (again) that the 76th threads wouldn't be the only place to talk about it. There's a lot more to the con from what I've seen. It'll be my first and I'm excited!

Shiny. I'll do that. Picture thread you say?

Glad to hear you have friends in the 76th. Still be sure to say hi if you see me. My badge will say "Browncoat 1" on it. If I see you I'll do the same.

But of course. I will hold all swooning until September.

I think I saw (and may even have a picture) of her and said Drizzt (you?).

Indeed! Picture thread! Been going for many many threads now. Here's the thread with the link to all the threads: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=11&t=27728
The most recent one is a little weird. Looking like there are more South Park character representations than actual pictures, but that's been kinda fun too.
