Oh, man. These are the most merciless writers in Hollywood.

Characters dying... ok, it happens, and in the Buffy/Angel-verse, it doesn't mean they aren't coming back, so I guess as an actor I could live with it.

Good characters turning evil, evil characters turning good... that's great stuff; lots of room to grow and stretch and tell a good story.

Brooding, tortured hero becoming a felt hand puppet...? Oh, that's just cruel. Talk about being taken down a peg or two.

And perversely, it had me wishing that _all_ the heroes had been turned into puppets. "Oh, who's the cute widdle Spikey-wikey? Who's my Gunn-y-poo?"

My all-time favorite Angel episode. PuppetAngel is just sooo cute.

Speaking of such things, have a gander at this. It's a fan produced comic that takes place a few days after the events in "Smile Time".

Just read the comic strip that was awesome,it was hilarious i want to see more of those.And u gotta admit puppet angel kick spikes butt.that was one of my favorite episodes of all time.

Ok, I've finished the Angel series, and I've previously read Fray, so I've just gone to check out the crossover comic.

Wow.

I admit I'm not a regular comic reader, so I probably miss all sorts of subtleties, but to my eye (and mind's ear) she got both worlds dead on. And it's a plausible cross-over, too, which makes it all the more intriguing.
