Jaynes line to sheppard Book in "The Message" has always bothered me. Seems to me the line should have been "The lord should look after all the dead". Anyone else notice this and think likewise? Is it possible Adam messed up his line and no one noticed?

Don't know if I'd go that far. People who otherwise have no religious feelings at all tend to get spiritual minded when talking about the dead.
