Definitely B5: Crusade. All that show was needed to really gel was a little improvement on the writing. Character development adn dialogue were fine, but the story of Excalibur and her crew seemed, i don't know, slapped together. Just MHO, I'll still buy the DVDs, if they ever come out.

They can have my "Firefly" DVDs when they pry them from my cold, dead fingers....
