i'd be up for umbrella drinks!
hello folks. I'm tired... i found a great job! (yey!) stewarding a house for the national trust, but its only 13-16 hours a week (poot) its £12k per annum (yey!) but thats only pro rata (booooo)
i'm wondering if its worth going fo it an trying to find work in a pub or bar in the evenings or something....
what are the tax laws like with a second job? and are there any pubs near me i'd actually be willing to enter? hmmmmm...
Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

That sounds awfully like it too should be a euphemism.

Quote:They ussually hit you at 40% tax, but if you're earnings fall below the threshold you can get that back at the end of the tax year.

40%?
I'm glad I don't work 2 jobs. I'd feel like I was working myself to death for nothing.
Hope the new job is everything you want it to be Seryn.
Happy Birthday to Nathan!

Ooh! Yay Seryn!!
I have no idea what stewarding a house for the national trust means, but it's better than working in a gift shop, yeah?
I could really use an umbrella drink, meself. This is a week where every day feels like Monday.
