>So far only Ron has said 'yes'. Some have said 'no' outright, some are still considering it, Jewel has a conflict, and some simply haven't returned our requests. *shrug*
Aww, Jewel has a conflict. She'd be a hoot to have on board.
Can you tell us who has said 'no'?

I'm saving for 2008, does that count? I have to start now if I want to attend both DragonCon and the 2008 Browncoat Cruise.
I aim to misbehave!

I'm still...debating.
It's a catch 22.
The more BDH/LDHs who announce they are going or even that they might attend, the more likely I'll try again to clear my schedule, put aside the funds, and fly cross-country (from Maine) to attend.
I know. I'm shallow.
But that is also how I like my water.
I'm not a "boat" person. At least ever since I saw the movie "Jaws", and "Titanic" and "The Poseidon Adventure" (despite BDH Adam Baldwin in the remake) hasn't helped--and with all the people falling off cruise ships these days having to tread water for 5 to 8 hours....well, let's say I'm still considering.
Speaking of Adam, my 18yo daughter who is a new convert would love to meet him (as a father, I am sad to say she loves the bad boy type); and if he was attending she would force me to come and take her [though I suspect with his busy schedule Adam is one of those who said "No"].
It's also tax time and I just got hit (for the first time ever) with a tax bill of, let us say, "gross" proportions. It seem last year which seemed too good to be true...was.
So I have an excuse to further delay my decision. Though I wonder how late I could possibly reserve a cabin?
I did not decide to go to the >expletive< Flan 2 until just 3 months before the event. Thanks to the California Browncoats (including our esteemed "Done the Impossible" Cruise crew) it was the best canceled fan convention I've ever attended.
[O.k. ... it was the only fan convention I've attended to date, but you know what I mean].
Anway, as it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life (excluding getting married, meeting my career goals, having a child, occasional sex...etc.--though the convention bliss lasted much longer), I find the urge to hop on the boat continues to grow.
Only Browncoats could get me to go on a cruise (which is something my wife has complained about; though since she is stolidly a "core world" type, only "Browncoats" could keep her from a cruise. Such is life.]
I keep checking the website almost everyday. And the guest list is growing. The Bedlam Bards (hi, Cedric, I look forward to seeing you on your tour through New Hampshire April 28th), Michael Fairman (a real gentleman), and now BDH Ron Glass (the Man with the Golden Laugh).
I'm getting excited, and I haven't even made the decision to go yet.
Respectfully,
History

I'm going! B3 was my first (non)con and despite all the angst I enjoyed it tremendously.
I've already paid for the cruise and since my mother is going to mind the little guy, now I only have to save for the one airfare from Australia!
I've got my fingers crossed that Adam is one of the BDHs considering it! :)

I wish I could afford this. I'm one of those poor outer rim folk.

There's a comparison chart on the Official Cruise website that compares the 5-day cruise to a 3-day Con. The cruise is really more affordable than you might think, and you've got months to save up for it. Never say never...

I'm going. I've got my reservation and my flight booked. I think the characters of Book and Niska are a nice balance for the cruise. I've heard that both men are wonderful and enjoy the fans. Well, of course Cedric is great. I'm always thrilled to listen to the Bedlam Bards, and I enjoy hearing the new tunes they have added to the old favorites. i am excited.

Me too, Verseexplorer
A 5-day Browncoat Shindig on a Cruise Ship? Wow... I hope it's successful enough that it becomes a tradition!
Shiny!

An annual event would be cool, and we could say that we were on the maiden voyage.
