Well Gerard is Scottish so I think he could do the accent without any trouble. I think he is very talented and would do a great job with the part. He was excellent in 300.

I heard on another site that Gerard has been approached to play Snake Plissken in a remake of Escape From New York. Not sure why someone would find it necessary to try to do a remake of a classic, except the obvious desire for easy money. Gerard has not signed yet, but is said to be considering it.

Sorry, I LOVE Daniel! He looks like my b/friend!

I think there are other things he could do, he is a very good actor, the Snake Pliskin thing would be good.

Gerard was on my list before Craig's casting was announced. I really liked him from Timeline and even his role in that Lara Croft movie.

I thought Craig was great, and he's already signed for at least the next one, so it's moot.

As for Butler and Escape from NY, it is set. New Line picked it up, with Butler attatched 2 days ago (after Butler and the producers started shopping it around last week).

But, according to John Carpenter, who co-own the Snake character along with Kurt Russell and a couple others, this new one will be more of a prequel than a re-make.

Personally I think Daniel Craig is the best BOND ever!!!!!!!

+he's got a contract for another 3 BOND movies, & Gerald Butler is too muscley I mean Daniel's fitt but Gerald Butler has like a big 6 pack & just wouldn't fit the James Bond character.
