I have converted a few people at Cantr. Now they are damning me because they can't stop watching.

I also converted a friend. Now he is more fanatically about the show then anyone I have ever seen. And he is holding two of my DVDs hostage!!!!!!

6 of my friends so far, and they´re converting more people as we speak!

I recently posted about Firefly in a local sci-fi forum and after that a whole bunch of people went out and got the DVDs. (Or so they said. I´m not counting those.)

I keep getting loving messages, thanking me for turning them onto the show. More than happy to contributing in spreadin´ the love.

I've only had one confirmed convert so far, and that is my son. He had not seen any of the series when it was on, whereas I had seen them all with the exception of "Bushwacked." I ordered the DVD set in advance, and had watched everything at least twice by the time I went to visit him shortly after Christmas. Sure enough, he thought it was gorram shiny too, and convinced me to give him the dvds. He says he has converted several himself. I've been in withdrawal since then, but ordered another set the other day, which I should get early next week.

I am self-employed, don't have a whole lot of social contact with other fans around here, and everyone I've mentioned it to has not heard of it before my mentioning it. I certainly want to spread the word, but do not feel safe in loaning dvds to people I do not know well, and can't afford an extra set right now.

I've also written a review of the show for my site, and posted about it on several other SF forums, but don't think I've influenced any that weren't already fans.
