Tired of using the same small handful of Chinese phrases from the show, I set out to find some alternates. I've searched unsuccessfully for an online translator before, but this time I turned one up. Have fun!

Enter the word you're looking for in the English word or expression box.
"Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you when she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home." .......We love you, captain.
"This is the captain. We may experience some slight turbulence and then.....explode"

Thanks for the post, but the link doesn't work. I'm always looking for a good translator and would love to try this one out.

Watch out most of the translators are horribly unreliable to create proper translations.
The English to chinese dictionaries we use when studying chinese are fairly bad too, they don't often explain the context or the connotations a word carries with them.

Me, I always go to http://www.mdbg.net for all my Chinese needs. If you enter the English word you want to translate, not only do you get several different Chinese translations, you also get an overabundance of phrases in which the word might be used - which, IMO, solves the context problem to an extent. Give it a shot, I'm using it to compile my own Firefly/Serenity Chinese Pinyinary for the fic I'm writing.

I also use the Collins link http://dictionary.reverso.net/english-chinese/ as it does the same. You can also click on Other Dictionaries for access to a few more.
I did a Firefly fanfic featuring German so this site and the Babelfish sentence translater worked wonders: http://babelfish.altavista.com/
I do keep a list of my own (mainly insults) in excel, but they are gleaned from the scripts, other fanficcers and online. Some I've even started using at work as no one understands me.
