Sorry; it seemed to be mirroring the information, I figured it was a mirror. I'm not as techie-smart as you *bows in not worthy fashion* It got me through the rough patch, and that's all that matters to me

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

So, that'll be fun, when the time comes...
I intend to comment out the hosts file entry when I'm sure that the DNS problem is resolved. That way if a server change comes about I'm covered but if the DNS problem comes back it's a simple change to get the workaround back in place.
For the technically uninclined puting a # in front of a line in files like hosts tells the system to ignore that line.

Thanks Haken for getting us flying again!
When I couldn't log on from home this weekend I first thought the Zena fans were up to no good....then I thought...jeeeeesh, maybe I've been banned, then I thought I really need to get A LIFE...ya know...something that's NOT Firefly intensive 24/7....then I remembered, I've been there, done that "normal life" thing...with all due respects to Jerry McGuire, FireflyFans completes me.

Zoid: Thanks for clearing that up. So it's basically two pointers going the same way. Since I never bothered to check IPs... *cough* Either way. We now know better. Thanks again. :D

Not to take away from Haken's "reader" mystique, but the actual reason he got that domain was that there was a reference to the site in the fan section of the Firefly DVDs but they spelled it wrong. :)

Oh, I've been back for about a month now (i.e, since the end of the football season, because I'm heterosexual and a Texan). Ever seen "Fever Pitch"? Same principle.
...And yes, Rick was definitely a Nexus-6, he just didn't know it. Then again, neither did Rachael:
Deckard: "She doesn't know."
Tyrell: "She's beginning to suspect, I think."
Deckard: "Suspect? How can it not know what it is?"
(NB: But of course, she didn't know, and neither did Rick.)
It's good to be back home, though. Posters on the Dallas Cowboys forums are, for the most part, utter morons. It's nice to engage in intelligent conversation for a change. (Speaking of which, re the Deckard Debate, "Nyah, nyah, ny-nyah, nyah!")
Respectfully,
zoid
