yeah, there's that, it's quite embarrasing! I'm hoping this summer I'll have time to sit down and actually make it a proper website (with pictures and everything!), but for now it's just the basic deal. Everything works, but it's just not pretty.

Just click on the Fanvids file/link and that's where all the Firefly/Serenity vids are. Right-click and Save-as.

Awww! I'm sorry! LOL. I thought maybe it was partially down or something. I'm sure it'll be fantastic when it's done. BTW, are they all firefly/serenity vids? Or just a few in particular?

I re-upped this thread to say that and to tell everyone go check out Tzegha's LJ, you're gonna be glad you did for the insight into her ideas and execution.

I also re-upped it cuz I wanted to tell you ( since I'm an unabashed fangirl of yours! ) that when my comp went down and I got a new one.. I didn't put my office stuff on it first... I downloaded all your vids, thus my new computer felt like "home".

Sometimes (most of the time!) I feel like I'm talking to myself, and am not the one to go on and on when no one cares to hear --read: lack of response one way or another, or monosyllabic, which doesn't lend itself making me gush like the geek I am. And originally there was going to be more River content in the vid, but the theme started to get a little too dense (and therefore not enough time spent on all the other threads weaving throughout)

At the suggestion of a wonderful beta who's been with me since (almost?) the beginning of my vidding days suggested that using a clip of Kaylee, someone who represented hope and unconditional love, should be used instead. And so I did, and it worked (I used the clip where she kisses him and tells him "I love my Captain"), but even after sitting on that for several renderings and getting more familiar with it, I ultimately switched back to River.

Because I secretly hate Kaylee. She stole Simon from me

I still owe my beta a version with the Kaylee :P

you sure know how to make a girl feel good!

One of these days, I'm going to find the perfect song to make a Simon/Inara vid. Maybe by the time I do, there'll be more Firefly/Serenity to work with *adjusts rose-coloured glasses*

But perhaps in the meantime I'll mull some more on doing a Simon-vid to Marc Cohn's "Medicine Man". Simon needs some vid-love. Or maybe I'll eventually get back to the first idea I ever had of a Mal/Inara vid to Portishead's "Roads"... Not enough time!
