One would hope the reason Alan and Ron are not mentioned is merely because their negotiations have not been finalized. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Could be the case but you would have thought that when joss wrote the script he would have had to include their characters and would also had a good idea as whether they were going to be signing on for the film.
Im sure we're all worried over nothing though they were probably just left of the article.

And an "oater" is Variety-speak for a Western. (Horses eat oats, horses are in Westerns).
