Well, I can give you a reason not to move to my area. There's nothing to do here, and the job market sucks (I live in Saginaw, MI).
However, I would suggest checking out Ann Arbor, MI. One of the coolest cities in existence, if you ask me. A little expensive, though it might be comparable to Massachusetts, I'm not exactly sure.

Western Mass has beautiful mountains (Berkshires, where they print their own money), and nice, rolling hills, and good schools, but it's just a tad expensive, and the indiginous peeps have no sense of humour.

Not for a while, still have school unfortunately.
I'm pretty sure Michigan is somewhat cheaper than stuff out In New England (with the exception of places like Grosse Pointe). Word of warning though, the natives of the northern areas have very strange behaviors (hides from the hordes of angry Yoopers
).

Austin, TX. Where else are you going to find a theater that has events like this http://www.originalalamo.com/online_tix/show_details.asp?show_id=4436
Not to mention the Firefly marathon watching the whole season in one sitting.
The drafthouse is the bestest.
Oh and if you're thinking that Texas is too conservative you're right. Though Austin is the liberal haven of the state.

Ten Reasons to Live in Dublin, Ireland
1) Generally speaking, the weather isn't capable of killing you.
2) The wildlife isn't usually capable of killing you either.
3) We're one of the last countries on Earth that still looks green from space!
4) You're always within thirty minutes of the beach. Okay, so we only get two weeks of sun per year...
5) The scenery is beautiful.
6) You get to stare at it for hours because the traffic is terrible.
7) There are forty different accents or dialects within a fifty mile radius.
8) We have museums!
9) And castles!!!
10) And stuff way, way older than castles! If they're not in Dublin they're usually only a couple of hours away at most. This is a very small country.
There's also the fact that I live here, but I think the stuff I mentioned above covers all the important points. Just in case you take this post seriously I should also point out that Dublin's house prices and cost of living are through the roof, but there are cheaper places about. With better traffic. But probably not museams. Although there may be castles. And cairns and raths and other cool stuff.

I presently live in Western Massachusetts, but would like to live in a more cosmopolitan area. I grew up (teens and up) on Long Island, but the housing there is ridiculously expensive, not to mention the nightmare of traffic. Still, that city feel is missing here. I miss loud and direct...and museums.
So where do you live, and why should I move my family there?![]()

Greek nothing; the Sirens were probably Irish.
