I can't think of any from Buffy or Angel right now, but Jayne's "I'll be in my bunk" (twice) had me in stitches

In the final eppie of Angel.

Angel
"I knew you'd betray me, I was just waiting for when."

Harmony
"What do you mean- you knew?"

Angel: "Your not the loyal type."

Harmony: "I'll have you know I am damn loyal dumbass!"

and

Angel: Your betraying me right now.
Harmony: Because you never had confidenence in me!
Angel: Because you dont have a soul.
Harmony ; I would if you had confidence in me!!

:tounge:

okay it's not from angel, it's a buffy line
it's not my fave line ever but it's the best out of context line in buffy i think, or the best i can think of at the moment

"i'm drowning in footwear"

hilarious cos we never see the dream, he never explains it, it's all in our head, and he's so petrified about ti, and this is spike, he takes some scaring!

We achieved the impossible, and that makes us mighty

God, there are soooo many! Anything between Angel and Spike in season 5. "The Girl in Question" was one of my fave eps ever! Spike grabbing the scooter and turning to Angel - "get on little mamma": priceless! And the whole cavemen/astronaut arguement. The intensity they were putting into such an offhand subject was hilarious. Seriously, I'm impressed with the funniness the writers came out with this season. Also, bringing Andrew into the fold (with his paper bag o'lunch and all)...
"The blood, it's stronger now."
"Like nickles?"

GROO: Would you like me to, at first slowly, and then more rapidly, rub your (Pylean word)?

and when Lorne explains that Fred's "may you please the gods with your words" actually meant "May you orally please the gods."

Puppet Angel's brow...

The whole fight with Horatio in "Smile Time", and decapitating Groofus the dog.

"The people who made the show, and the people who saw the show, which is roughly the same number of people, fell in love with it, a little bit too much to let it go, too much to lay down arms when when the battle looked pretty much lost. In Hollywood, people like that are called unrealistic, quixotic, obsessive... In my world, they're called Browncoats."

Let's go kill us some puppets.

And my personal favorite, from Buffy season 1 oddly enough...

Jenny: You guys spend a lot of time in the library.
Buffy: Uh, yeah, well... we're literary.
Xander: Yes. To read makes our speaking English good.

I plan to put that quote on a t-shirt.

"spike turn around now...."
"YOUR A WEE LITTLE PUPPET MAN!!"

*crash through door*

absoutle classic. And the way Masters says it is priceless

Also Spike's two finger salut to Xander in Hush (i think) after all the faces Xander goes through...

Y'all have hit most of my favorites!

I actually haven't watched TV since Babylon 5 ended in '98, just DVDs of shows I hear a lot of great things about.
Only saw Seasons 2 & 3 of Buffy, and the first couple episodes of Angel, and haven't been able to afford the DVDs of either, so I'm reading the transcripts off twiztv.com.
I'm up to the Season 3 of Angel, "Fredless", and I just saw this line...

Trish: "I mean, Rog's always had a thing for those disgusting "Alien" movies with all the slime and teeth. He just can't get enough of 'em. - Except for that last one they made I think he dozed off. - I just can't believe it's all real."

ROTFL! Joss wrote "that last one they made"!

Then there was Angel's fascination with alternate conditions in Pylea...

Angel: "Can everyone just notice how much fire I'm not on?"

Angel: "Let's start gathering some branches, some brush. Anything to cover up the car. Oh, hey, look. There is some over in that patch of sun. I'll get them!"

Angel is looking at himself in the mirror and feeling his hair, trying to push it down.
Angel: "Okay - this is because of going through the portal, right?"
Cordy: "No. It always looks like that."
Angel turns to look at them.
Wesley: "Angel, while we search for the proper incantation, it might save time if you go with the host. Hit the streets, see if you can document any - portal activity."
Angel: "I don't get it."
Wesley: "Well, the host knows this world, we need to ascertain if..."
Angel turns back to the mirror: "No, I mean why didn't anybody tell me about this? Look it's..."
Plays with his hair again.
Cordy: "Uh. You look good."
Angel checking himself out in the mirror again: "You're not just saying that, are you?"

I about died laughing. My roommates looked at me like I was insane because the line by itself is not that funny, and I'm laughing like a fool :)

What I find so amazing about the Whedonverse is that there are these little comments about EPIC happenings from way earlier, and it just SMACKS you when you stop and think about it, and the whole backstory comes swimming up into your forebrain, and you have to close your eyes, lean your head back and laugh, Laugh, LAUGH!
Then you open your eyes while you're still facing the ceiling and say, "What a story this is!"

The problem is trying to hook your friends & family into watching... with just the 10-words-or-less they allow you!

I try to turn people on to Angel and Buffy and all I get is people rolling their eyes at me and getting that look on there face like I haven't grown up or something.

I used to be one of those people but you know something? Screw them! BtVS and Angel are worth watching. Good stories, good characters, and simply a great idea in general.

From "Lullaby"...

Sahjhan: "You'll get your money."

Arnie: "I've heard that one before. You know, I've got mouths to feed. Plus a family. Some of them have mouths, too."

Then there was this Buffy line from "Some Assembly Required"...

WILLOW
Eric's was a bust. Nothing there.
XANDER
Yeah, nothing but a bunch of computer equipment and a pornography collection so prodigious it even scared me.
