Flash Gordon is my all time favorite cheese-ball SF flick.

Coming in non-SF would hafta be Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Now that I think of it, imma watch it right now. ;)

Does 'Repo Man' count?

And what about 'Buckeroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension' ?

Cheesy sci-fi series - anyone remember that really odd one about the family who went through a pyramid and ended up on alternate earths? Or was I drinking waaaaay too much coffee back in the 80's?

I fully agree.

Yeah, it was called Otherworld, and it was a tv show. Cheesy though it may have been, it was the foundation of extremely popular Sliders and Stargate. It gets lost because of the popularity of these shows, which suggests to me that the idea was great, but the execution, not so much.

Lots of scifi TV shows are rife with cheese, in the Finn household Zenon: The Girl of the 21 Century is a requisite major.

Thank you. I was getting a little weirded out with the flashbacks and all...

I loved 'Stargate' the film. Hated the series. Absolutely hated it.

Ooh...link. Cheesy sci-fi - 'Soldier' Kurt Russell had about ninety words of dialogue in the whole film. But there were some fun 'Blade Runner' refs.

Movies with " Journey " in the title usually are cheesy :

Journey To The Center Of Time
Journey To The Seventh Planet
Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun

...although Journey To The Center Of The Earth is a legendary classic.

Anyone know of any more "Journey" movies?

I kind of feel the same way about FIREFLY, since I see a lot of popular sci-fi shows take some of the stuff that FIREFLY did first and run with it further. I sometimes see BATTLESTAR GALACTICA as a humorless version of FIREFLY.

I would definitely have to agree with WRATCHIT. Flash Gordon has to be at the top of the 80s list. At least top three.

Simon: What if he(Mal) tells you to kill me?
Zoe: (without hesitation) I kill you.

Not from each decade but:

Spacehunter: Adventures In The Forbidden Zone
Warlords Of Atlantis
Lost In Space (newer movie)
Battle Beyond The Stars
Flash Gordon

As well as the word 'Journey' you can add movies that start 'It Came...' and 'The Day...' and all the variations on them.
