For some reason I'm not sure of, the Xena and Bonanza fans knew about this poll long before the Browncoats did. Their fan bases are organized and worldwide, and because of the length of time those series were on TV, probably larger than ours.
The fact that we've caught up (from 10th to 3rd since I started voting), and that we're about to take 2nd place, shows the commitment of the Browncoats and is a kind of a victory in itself.
When you think of the average number of votes each of us casts in a day (my wife and I usually manage around 24 a day between the two of us), there probably aren't more than a few hundred of us voting regularly. If 50 more people start voting, or each of us adds a couple of votes a day to our usual count, we could easily match Xena's totals. We won't get to 250,000 first, but that's just a short-term goal.
