It doesn't have to be Firefly/Serenity it forward, because the second that they are hooked on Firefly, Serenity is a certainty. Plus with the complete season, it leaves you wanting more. It is what made me want to fight to bring it back, because the first thing people ask as soon as they watch through disk 1 is, what channel are they on now…”What they canceled this?!?!?” Then they go to serenity then they want more. I realize that I don’t really need to tell you all this because I venture to guess that we have all, to some degree, walked that path. All “Firefly it forward” is doing is putting that path in front of them.

"I don't care what you believe in. Just believe in something." (sorry,if I blew that quote no time to look it up, I'll correct it later if need be)
I believe in this.
"Shepherd Book used to tell me, 'Can't do somethin' smart, do somethin' right'."

Yes, once I've gathered sufficient funds, I'm gonna buy a set of the DVDs to ship off to my friend in Connecticut. She's the one who convinced me to give sci-fi a chance in the first place!

Like many I do not have a great deal of money available, so I copied the first two episodes (Serenity and Train job) and handed them out to friends & family, with one exception everyone I gave one too picked up the box set within a few weeks.

Together we will triumph.

It's too bad we're not all fans of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". 'Cause then we could all "Pay It 10-Forward".

I'm pointin' right at it!

Wish I could afford to do this. Unfortunately, the people I think would enjoy it (if I could get them to bother to look past their ignorant, snobbish opinions of BUFFY & ANGEL) I would never trust with my one and only copy (they've borrowed movies from me before and only returned some of them). However, if I did anyway, they are also the kinds of people who would look down on me for spending money on DVDs in the first place, so I know they wouldn't buy it themselves even if they liked it.

"You're hitting on all the selling points..." I usually pick up 2 copies when ever I see on sale for $20 at BestBuy or Target or Circuit City, and I hand them out as I find people that come over and see it, or just as I find people that would like it. This is a small time effort, it not like I'm handing them out by the case, just one or two here and there as I can afford it maybe one a month,or less. I do like the idea of making a copy of one or 2 episodes, I hate people that pirate stuff that is fighting to stay afloat. 1 or 2 episodes is fine but not the whole series, it's 20 bucks... suck it up, as for everyone else if you can't afford it thats fine, I can afford 20 bucks here and there. If I could I would just give it straight to Joss for a Fight for Firefly and/or Save the Serenity fund. Hell I'd finance the show and/or movie myself if I had enough. I can't wait to see her hit the sky again and it can't come soon enough.

New convert, maybe two! I'd been talking Firefly up to friends and offered to loan them the series/movie a few times.
I loaned them my copy of the soundtrack. Turns out he'd gone and bought a copy of the box set that day.
