There was something about china blowing up their sattelite and something about it afectin us.

so this mite devide the world like firefly.
the poeple who want to unite and the BrownCoat factions.

we mite have a actional serenity valley war.

i could be rong aswell but thats what i got from it. so to each is own.

Stupid. The're even jeopardizing their own space efforts from the debris, the last thing we need is even more potentially lethal rubbish whizzing around in orbit.

I did hear about the event. The major concern is that with this new Chinese A-SAT weapon if there were to be an armed conflict in the Far East, that this weapon could disable our low orbit satelite network, cutting our major line of communication. A grievous blow to forces stationed in Taiwan and Japan.

I would like to say that I'm a Brown Coat and would fight with the Independents, but the truth of it is I believe when large groups of people have too much independence, they abuse that independence and start enslaving their neighbors, and engaging in all sorts of not so nice activities as human history has shown over, and over, and over again time after time.

Unfortunately humanity needs governing because without that bit of control we do all sorts of nasty things to one another, so I guess in my heart of hearts I would have voted for placing all those worlds and moons under the flag of the Alliance.

The good part is that all of those planets and moons have a pretty good measure of freedom because the 'verse space is so large, and the Alliance can't monitor the whole show all the time, so people can still run cargo, smuggle, and engage in age old humanity meanness to one another without getting caught, or caught often. The Alliance serves as a glue to keep the empire together, and offers a structure.
