Voting low for other shows? that's just lousy. We could easily win just by voting high for firefly, but still you gotta ruin it for everyone else. Nice.

That's a bit stronger than I would put it, but I tend to agree.

Frankly, I've looked over the TV tally site, and I'm half tempted to say the best thing to do is ignore it. Voting there is low. The site is new. I see no unique value to the site. Between tv.com and tv_vote, all the bases this site hopes to cover are already covered elsewhere, better.

Enurunner is right; voting other series episodes low is just dirty pool. However, this is exactly the sort of tatic that the site encourages by "ranking" episodes from different shows against each other. As a consequence, I will never take the episode rankings on this site seriously; too much politics.

tv.com does episode ranking correctly; they make no attempt to claim that episode 3 of bonanza is better than episode 2 of little house on the prarie; the episode rankings stand alone. This approach gets -much- more honest appraises of each episode out there.

Given the lack of value and some serious fundamental flaws of tv tally I would recommend we "officially" decide to ignore the site. By participating on it, we are effectively endorsing the site.

My apologies, I never put much stock in the episode voting because it was to easy to mess up others shows. I had a problem with one person voting a 10 on one episode of another show and that it would always be number one where as a person could vote 30 times for an episode of Firefly and if it only had a 9.9 rating it would never become number one. Therefore, the episode voting means nothing to me other than it looks nice to have all Firefly episodes on the main page. I didn't mean to hurt anyones feeling from other shows. A person wouldn't have to vote a 1 on other shows even a 8-9 would even the field and allow Firefly a shot.
