I know it's right up Joss' alley, but I'd much rather see almost any other strong female character...I've always disliked Wonder Woman (it's the lasso, the invisible jet, and the costume), so I don't think I'll be seeing the movie unless it gets really great reviews.

Also also: I'm on my last bag of wine gums. This may be a good thing, as I'll have to make them last.

Quote:They weren't that bad, its just all I had was brown flour and you need white, you can really taste the difference. They would have been fine with white flour, next time I'll know about my mistakes (like white flour and putting too many in for steaming at once so they all got stuck together). They'll be really good next time...

The thing about Wondy is she is the only mainstream female superhero with her own origin. All of the others (Supergirl, Batgirl, She Hulk, etc.) are ancillary to some male hero's story. Now you are of course free to dislike WW for any reason you choose but I don't quite get the hate. So she has some oddish gadgets. They aren't much sillier (if at all) than Batman's and they fit her character well enough. I can't think of anything more apropriate for a patriotic American superhero to have in her arsenal than a golden lasso of truth. The costume is also not significantly dumber than any other of the four color crew. It shows a bit more skin than most but that's not a priori a bad thing.

I get that...the lasso's not so bad, but the invisible jet is downright awful, and the costume is really bad (imo, of course). I really can't think of any other costume that bothered me much, though to be fair I'm not much of a comic buff (always wanted to be, as I like the stories, but I just don't like the format).

As I've said before: invisible jet = cloaking device. There's ample room to do something very cool with the concept.
And the limited Rogues Gallery just gives Joss room to reimagine someone, bring in a guest star, or create someone completely new. Besides, there's always Ares, who isn't exactly minor-league.
