Seriously though, green-tea ice cream from a good icecream place (B-n-R is not considered "good" in this case)...
1 It's mine, I tell yas, MINE! *squeezing the life outta the hug*
4 NVG, could you give PB and BV some extra hugs this week for me? RIMG, Mav, LA (if you read this) could you hug your lil' ones too? (Yes, I need hugs today BADLY, but I'll settle for someone to substitute for me.)
(you really don't want to read how bad today was.)
Awww, why is Neko upset ?!? I really wish I could do something to change it for you doll, whatever it is.
I love green tea ice cream, one of my favorite sushi places in Atlanta has some of the best I have had.
You can have as many hugs as you like, and they can all be yours.
I'd love to hug 'em Neko, were they not in Oklahoma. I'll send them and you virtual hugs and you can sort it out with them how many you get. :)
I really do want to know how bad the day was, if you feel like talking about it, I am a damn good listener.
*huggles the hell outta Neko while sneakily setting another hug-snare around the corner*
*squees from the hug* Long day RIMG...all about the state ASSessment for this spring...(and the dang thing has spread its tentacles into today too...had a meeting about the new information...) With everything that's going on about the testing (the first due date for things is Friday...and we were told YESTERDAY Great. Fuskin State testing and testing coordintators vanishing on us.

mornin' FlatTop.
Reminds me of the D*C food groups, which are alcohol, caffeine, and candy (in that order, I think, if there is an order).
...Thought it was "Salt, sugar, caffiene, and chocolate" (adjusted from the days in high school)? Oh well, my bad

Mmm...
Yep, you do live in a magical land where the Star*ucks baristas are well-trained on how to properly prepare drinks.

NVG: She sounds like someone worthy of our NVG. Yay!
...as for us caffinated folks...we might, but do you swallow?

Owch. Gotta love those FSNAFUs. *offers chocolate from VeX's post earlier to cheer up* Also would like to suggest what was proposed to a couple of co-workers. "Dave and Busters (D&B) therapy" (a.k.a. go to the nearest food and arcade place and find the games to beat the living c

Goodnight to all.
Just wanted to see what people think of the pendants my wife is auctioning. And do you think the photos turned out ok? We spent two days futzing with light tents/ white balance/ tungsten vs. flourescent lights/ etc. to try and get them to look perfect.

Yah!!! CK!!! Hurrah!!!!
And PR!! Thanks for the hugs, Rose! Lol I suppose you read the previous thread...
Anyhoo... Firefly Club... not going so well. Finally did the present-y thing, and I realized after two months of waiting, I really wasnt all that prepared... However, I learned some annoying things: for one, the sponsor (in this case one of the newer teachers who likes Firefly) would have to be at every meeting... and if we were to have them on weekends, well... I can't ask her to do that. And there is also the issue of what the club would do with the money it would get as part of the school.... Frankly the Club doesnt need any money, only the recognition. Also, what would the club "add to the campus" or whatever: apparently bringing students with similar interests together isnt enough, you have to contribute in some way.
And that lead the ASB folk to the conclusion I had thought of long ago: we really dont need the school's approval to do what we want to do.
Blarg, but its annoying, the approval was what I wanted: I wanted to be able to say "We're the firefly club, care to watch with us?"... ya know, some respectibility on the way to Boros, as it were.
Seems at this juncture we have two options:
-make the club more active, so maybe do some
volunteering with our firefly buddies, or somesuch, and... somehow avoid the sponsor-at-each-meeting.......
-abandon the idea of being an oficial club at school to begin with, run it as an email list, and, pun intended, be independent. No quarterly reports, no sponsors, but no official organization. This course seems easier, but if we all had shirts or something to advertise, we might be called a gang (a bunch of folk wearing the same shirt that isnt school-affiliated).
At the moment I'm collecting emails, which i'll need either way. I'll take a vote on it, I suppose. But its looking like, after all this wait, the best option might be to go it alone.
"If there isnt already a club for your interest, start your own!" they say.... go se. There's an anime club, what does that add to the school? They just want clubs that are mainstream, or that somehow "give back to society." Or at least that's how I feel.
Bah. Bureaucracies can go to the special hell.
