Also, doing a brief google search for Athena style helmets brought me to this page, which has lots of costumes. Men's tunics for under their toga, men's sandals (and cheap, too! Lookie!) and other bits and bobs. Plus some lovely looking women's outfits for those that aren't inclined to make their own.

Prices seem pretty decent, thought I'd pass it along.

Thank you so much Serenity - that is a good site and since I am encouraging folk from the 76th to check this party out - it is a good idea to remember that not all will have costuming skills... mind you - I can't say I have any, but I feel that a toga is something I can manage!!

I am going for green - to represent the spring aspect of Persephone - and gold - to represent the fire of Hades! I might actually have to coordinate with my captor and King on some details closer to the time!

I'll add that excellent link to the top posting - then I am off to bed... tis 3am here!!

Yeah - but Tristan's my half brother - and that's not going to stop me hitting on him... so I wouldn't worry too much

I've been thinking of going with red and gold. I've got a red skirt, or I could find some red fabric. It is a queen size sheet, but I'm liking this idea now of doing red and gold. Xie-xie!

Hey, Magda sweety - please remove me as Aphrodite. I'm not gonna participate in this year's D*C theme thingie. Soooooo, she's all yours, if you want 'er.

Well, Ash, if you think about it, most of the gods were related anyway. Nearly every deity was either a sibling or an offspring of Zeus. So, who cares?

What?? But... but... you're the Queen of dress ups... You can't stand us up!!

Hang on - are you afraid of a little competition?

Well... OK... if you're sure - I'll give you a day or two to change your mind... but I am already working on my costume for Persephone so it'll be up for grabs...

You're still coming to D*C though, aren't to Hell's Kitten?

Oh, golly, no. I'll just be too busy wearing Nandi's dress. You know, the one that Mal had his hands all over? Yeah. That one.

'Sides, I'm not sure I can stay within the general toga rules... and it seems like more of a private-y event....

Er. I think so. Depends, though, on whether or not I go to Japan before that. I already don't have enough vacation time from work to go everywhere I want to go.
