I know it's not Joss, but, it is Ben Edlund, so close enough in my book! Besides, the TV show was hi-larious!

Just a simple couple of questions on BWAH!:

(1) To clarify from the original base instructions, can you play more than one Yellow "Immediate Action" card per turn? (Is the one-per-turn limit only on MUDDER'S MILK?)

(2) Any word on the "Those Left Behind" comic expansion for BWAH!? I see you used some of the comic art on the RISE AGAIN game.

BTW, I've managed to print the base game on single-sided business card stock, by seperating each page of images into single images, then transfering them to the stock (through an older desktop publishing program called PRINT ARTIST--I suppose you could use the Avery templates for WORD as well) and they came out very well! (Granted, I stretched each card image to fit the cards, so they are a bit elongated but perfectly legible--even Badger.) I've even done up a "playsheet" for the cards in this size (complete with "Quick Reference"), which I can make available by request.

I've done this because my STARFLEET group will be doing a FIREFLY/SERENITY presentation for our recruitment "Away Mission" in June, and I hope to have an interest in the game (I'll try to include info for getting the game from this site).

One per turn limit is only on Mudder's Milk played on your own character. Additionally, other Yellow action cards may be played at any time, subject to their own text. For example, you could play GOOD TO HAVE CARGO and draw cards on your turn, but then you may have to discard some at the end of your turn. Play it on someone else's turn and you can draw and hold them until the end of your next turn.

Also, nothing wrong with "house rules". Every great game has "house rules". :)

Yep. I am moving this weekend, so sometime in the upcoming month, when I have my workstation set up again, and can begin the scanning process, I should begin working on it. I apologize that it has taken so long, but life has been gettin' in a man's way lately. ;)

Glad that BWAH! could help! Anything else I can do?

Also, if you could get some pics of people playing the game and forward them to me, I'd really appreciate it!

True, but for first plays, I prefer to go by the rulebook. 'Preshate your clarifying that!

If it helps any, I DO have full scans of the mini available. I can forward the image files as needed.

No problem! It's always good to consult the Game Designer! (unless I haven't played the game in ages...LOL)

I 'preshate *g* the offer on the images, but I'll do just fine once all the pieces of my Serenity (PC) are reassembled in the new place. Xie xie just the same tho!

I look forward to the gameplay pics!
(especially if you get anyone in Star Trek costume playing! *weg*)

Dunno about uniforms, but we MAY have some Firefly/Serenity T-shirts on. :)

BTW, one more quick question: one of the expansion rulesheets mentions a "Special Edition Joss Whedon" Character Card, but I don't recall seeing it as part of the sets OR listed here as a special download. Is it still here somewhere?

No, you won't find it in any set.

I published exactly 302 of them.

300 for the attendees of the special advanced screening of Serenity at Newport on the Levee (across the Ohio River from Cincinnati) back in 2005, who received them as part of a SWAG BAG the Southern Ohio Browncoats (including myself) made.

1 was printed for me.
1 was printed for a close friend.

If you don't mind having a watermarked copy, you can resize and print this one:

If I ever have the opportunity to meet Joss, I'll get him his own copy as well.

If I'm not mistaken, Alan Tudyk should have a copy in the set of BWAH! cards I gave him at Dragon*Con last year, which was donated by the friend.

I'm guessing less than 200 of them probably still exist (children, non-Bwah players, and fair weather fans(yeah, even WE have some) probably lost, destroyed, or threw away the card), and that is being optimistic.

I have considered doing a special Serenity version of Joss, so maybe you can get in on that if I ever do. ;)

Got it! Managed to "remove" the watermark and do a little cut-and-paste to clean up the image, so it looks like any other character card. Thanks again!

BTW, looked further in that topic slice and saw the "preview cards" for the BTVS BWAH! Nice! Can't wait to see that one! _NJR_

Huzzah! Technology!

And BWAH! the Vampire Slayer is still a work in progress...play balance is WAY out of whack thanks to magic spells and supernatural powers...but it is coming along. :)

At the urging of some of my close friends, I have revamped and updated my first card game ever: HIGH NOON. You may consider it the grandfather of BWAH! as it was the root concept for BWAH! Additionally, this is my first attempt at putting a game in PDF format for easier downloading and printing, so any feedback will be graciously accepted.

You may download it for FREE, like all my games, at:
http://www.savefile.com/files/599678

Here's a peek (it is very "printer friendly")
