G'day
A new aussie fan here, just in the last few weeks I've gone through the rollercoaster ride of firstly joy, and then heartbreak of discovering this AMAZING tv series called "Firefly" that is so original and unique, and then realising that it only had a short (but incredible) life.
Oh man....that's cruel.
I had actually seen 'Serenity' earlier in 2006, thought it was really good, knew I would watch it again and left it at that. Then just before Christmas someone lent us the Firefly DVD's and I was hooked big time.
It amazes me to think of some of the sh-t that lasts on tv for years, and yet this 'incredible show that was' was cancelled so early, I just can't get my head around that one. It is not logical! (As someone else has said before).
You Browncoats sound like an awesome bunch of people who could probably move mountains if you set your mind to it. Thank you for making Serenity happen. I'll be a fan forever.
Cheers.

Welcome home!
If you have any questions about the site there is probably a thread somewhere that answers them. Look around, read up a bit, and if you can't find what you need, just ask. Please dive right into the discussions, as we can always use more people to talk to!
FollowMal should be along at some point to give you a Virtual Browncoat, kind of a traditional greeting around here. I wear mine with pride. Others will be along to heap food upon you. It's all pretty good, but the ice planets can get a bit messy and problematic.

Welcome, ArtIsOxygen,
We all know what you mean. It is so hard to comprehend how anyone would cancel the best show ever. We're glad that you found your way to FFF.net. It's a friendly group of Browncoats. Post often and enjoy the community. If you ever have any questions, just get on the Cortex and send us a wave. There's always someone around.

Hello Artisoxygen...and Welcome, welcome, welcome to our obsession! There are so many of us who came too late to the 'verse; and I and one of them who feels your pain. I truly think that there should be a name for the specific kind of "depression" we go through AFTER we watch the oh, too brief DVD's of the show and the movie...it lasts and lasts and you really do walk around under this awful cloud of Why, why, WHY ... the only answer I've come up with is that as a race, humans are circling the drain and just the dregs recognize the perfection of Joss Whedon's wonderful show-that-was "Firefly." Hello, fellow dreg!! Now that you're here...take a look around, vote for "Firefly" as the best TV show ever (richlabonte.net/tvvote)..it's just something you can do every hour to show your love of the show... join up over at SciFi (it's free) and do some creative begging to bring the show back (hey, it worked for "battlestar"...maybe, maybe) There are a number of letter-writing and e-mail campaigns to hook up with... keep pushing because Browncoats never give up...and once again, welcome!

Cool! THANX ALL for the warm welcome, humour and info....
It feels good to be 'home'.
Love to visit the U.S and participate in a browncoat gathering/shindig there one day. I envy those of you who can.
Next time I'm on that side of the planet...
Now I have to read up and find out how to include emoticons, pictures; etc....
Cheers! ;)
