Forwarding URLs on the old thread help. I've been chatting up a storm over there. I'll bring 'em on over in a bit.

Hey it does have a new url on the old thread...look just above Rugbug's post to mine:) HUGS

Hmm if match.com would be for desperation...how much more desperate do you have to be if you're considering trying to hook up with someone who's not really interested because they're your " last chance"?? Anyway, if you think he wouldn't go for it, I'd suggest setting up a double date with someone else or even just saying " I really like you both, but I'd hate to see you settle for less than an amazing relationship because you don't want to be alone"

It's all about the mindset. He knows deep down that this girl isn't even a great catch. They aren't very similar people and he's way more intelligent than she is. But in his mind at least she's a girl who can put up with him and he has put up with her in the past. They know each other (kinda). So, she seems like less of a desperation move to him than internet dating. Not that there's really anything wrong with internet dating, but it has a stigma to it. One that he wouldn't like.

And to set up a double date not only would I need a date, but I'd have to find one for him too. Plus I'd probably need to live near him. That or be rich enough to jet across the country whenever I like. I'll aim for the second option.

Oh well I guess I'll just hope he snaps out of it on his own.

I don't think I want to suggest that one. I think he's on the same page as I am there. Those would be like a last resort type of effort.

I did match.com for a month. Not as a last resort thing, but more as a 'hrmm, what's out there that I might be missing' thing. Settling for the guys I meet doesn't seem to be a good option, so why not expand horizons.

It was okay. I was really only interested in one guy that contacted me (I didn't do any searching, I let them come to me). The rest were blah. Things fizzled with the one guy just recently. All in all it wasn't a bad experience, but I don't know if I will do it again.

Think I'm gonna faint. FutureMrsFillion and Mal4Prez are both posting. Combined with the return of Zeek. Did someone call for the Apocalyspe and not tell me?

Nope. I think someone called for the most boring workday ever and had me on speed dial.
