So, does anyone remember my ponderable probably over a month ago? The friend and his attempted rekindling of an old high school relationship.

Well anyway he saw her over the holidays and now it seems like the roles are reversed. He's more into her than she is into him. She said she wouldn't even consider moving to be with him and he got all depressed. I guess he thought there was some actual potential to that relationship. So, he's all moppy now. Haven't found the magic words to snap him out of it though.

He thinks she's basically his last chance at marriage I guess. He says the area he work in now is not very populated or full of...educated people. So, he's not encouraged that he'll meet anyone there and I can't convince him otherwise. Anybody got any other words of wisdom that might work?

Point him in the direction of a computer and eharmony.com or match.com or remind him that relationships can end up with conversations like this ( borrowed from Buffy obviously)

Love the cake, MSG...if only....*sigh*
The office gave me a tuxedo cake for lunch...chocolate cake with cheesecake layers. I will be hitting a food coma sometime soon, I can already tell!

Hands down the little moments...I have a few every day that remind me life is a wonderful thing and they keep me smiling.

Honeycomb cheesecake every time... or possibly lemon meringue pie.
My mum made amazing cakes when me and my brothers were little. I once got a dinosaur. Like a big 3D stegosaurus that was stood up on its feet. The icing was very green, I remember.

Anyways, evening to everyone (or morning as the case my be) And happy birthday to Tristan and JohnnyQ. May you have many more!

I'd say happiness overall is dependant on the little things (for e.g. the sausages I can smell cooking for my dinner), because they improve your mood. But obviously BIIIIG happy moments will make you a happier/more optimistic person, 'specially if you have lots

I'm afraid I don't, a restaurant in the towm where I live does it, it's basically a cheesecake but with nuggets of crunchy honeycombed sweet stuff buried in it (like bits of a Crunchie bar), and sprinkled on top.

My ex boyfriend also made great cheesecakes, he did raspberry and white chocolate ones, and vodka and orange ones, but his best was the baked cheesecake. It was very complicated to cook, like 3 hours with the door to the oven closed, then another three with it open and stuff... tasted grrrreat though

EDIT: Anyway, goodbye to anyone who reads this, as I must now go to eat a big plate of sausage and mash with onion gravy, and then do last minute cramming for my history exam tomorrow.

I don't think I want to suggest that one. I think he's on the same page as I am there. Those would be like a last resort type of effort.
