It's clear from you post that you like the story behind Gladiator.

Have you seen the HBO Films Series ROME? I watched 3 episodes Sunday night, and all I can say is unbelieveably awesome!

This is many years before the Gladiator time period...before the Empire... but basically the Roman Senate does the same thing to Julius Caesar. After he conquers Gaul ( 8 year campaign), they decide he's a threat to the Republic, so they declare him a criminal. He takes his legions across the Rubicon back into Italy and is prepared to march on Rome.....we all know the history, but to see it so well done...very graphic violence, and uhm..lots of ...a real lots of sex...wasn't much else to do back then I guess 'cept kill and screw ... I dont know if this is the start of the second season, or episodes from the first...but I know I won't miss it.

Mal- because no matter what, he will take care of what's his

Richard Sharpe- because heros never go out of style

Jayne- because sometimes the solution is hitting

V ( in V for Vendetta)- because that caliber of acting should always bring respect

Cosmo( from Fairly Oddparents) -because stupid is funny

Captain Jack Sparrow- because being a good guy with a bad guy's job makes us all laugh

Silent Bob- because the line " The sign on the back of the car says Critters of Hollywood you dumb f ck" is the funniest line ever.

Wolverine- because that level of sex appeal should be illegal

Alice( Resident Evil)- because kicking butt and taking names can be a woman's job too.

Severus Snape-because teaching kids while oozing elegant, seductive evil is impressive.

Kevin Chan ( Supercop)- because stunts that amazing make you want to cheer

Dumbledore- because the world need that kind of strength and wisdom

and finally

Jack ( from Jack and Sarah)- because great parenting never goes out of style.

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."- Albright

Y'know, I've seen it advertised on the TV, but never got round to watching it. Don't know why, cuz I always thought it looked proper good! And I've heard nowt but good things bout it. I was in HMV the other day, and the season one boxset was on sale. I may have to partake in that. Cheers for the recommendation, friend!

Oh, I like Palpatine and Count Dooku a little bit from the new SW although the movie was largely pretty weak. I guess you could say I have a fascination with idealistic warriors in film, whether they be good or bad.

I am evil, I am sly, and if you get eaten no one will cry.

Oooohhh Excellent choice whoever said The Dude. He's a great movie character and so is his sidekick Walter.

Shaun - Shaun of the Dead

Ralphie - A Christmas Story

Lola - Run Lola Run - I know, she just runs a lot. But she does it with such cool hair.

Peter Coyote's character in Bitter Moon. He's nuts.
