As far as I know, WB doesn't have any reality series. Teen-angst drama is their specialty. Hence why they loved Buffy so much to begin with.

They do happen to have one that I know of, if you count "The Surreal Life" Although to it's credit, I've seen FAR FAR worse.....like most reality shows on the Fox network!

True, she has the hot thing going for her. In the context of a "Rock Star and Groupie" relationship, then I can see that. They just have to deal with her pesky habit of trying to rip the stuffin' outta him 3 nights a month...

As to why the Buffy and Angel relationship hit a wall... seemed to have a lot to do with Angel's little 'curse' thingie. The "we can never make whoopee" dilemma made for a lot of torture. Then when Angel made the big move from Sunnydale, the final deciding factor was that Buffy deserved to be with a man who "could walk in the Sun" with her, give her children, and be with her fully physical without going pure evil.

If one of the main deciding factors for Angel to part from Buffy is that it is unfair to a young, beautiful mortal woman to be denied the full experience of a relationship, then the same problem exists concerning Nina. Although, maybe a Wolf-Girl is doomed to never have children... only puppies...

As to why it didn't work with Cordelia... well, hell it was Cordelia for chrissake... Just plain wrong on so many levels. That whole involvement seemed like a story arc manufactured to serve the whole Conner convoluted saga. Again, just my opinion.

when the Angel puppet turned into a vampire was quite funny, and so was the cotton stuffing that came out when he was wounded. Great stuff. He was still Angel which was a great point of the story and I also enjoyed it when the puppet kicked Spike's ass.

I loved how AngelPuppet landed on his feet from the top of the frame, and all you could see were his shoes and pant legs... with the pant break all extra gathered just like regular Angel!

James/Spike did a great job of playing up the fury of the fight when he was really just wrastlin' a disembodied puppet. He was effectively having his ass kicked as the elevator doors closed... gawd that was good.

From what I understand, this was the first time that Ben Edlund directed an episode for Angel. He did a wonderful job. Must be very satisfying to be able to direct one's own very unique story. A story that is so obviously the result of a particular artist's personal style, needs the right follow through with the direction in order for it REALLY work.

This one worked magnificently.

I think one of the greates lines in that ep was during the Spike/PuppetAngel fight. After the elevator doors have closed, Angel spouts something like "You damn limey bastard!". Brilliant statement, lol.

And as for Fred, the whole choosing Wes thing was directly to lead into next week....
