*Walks behind the bar and opens a secret compartment. Pulls a lever and laughs sinisterly (is that a word?) as feathers, marshmallows and gummybears fall from the cieling on RIMG and La29 in the smoking room*

Did you think you were really safe in me Pub???

*Makes Whimsy a Bourban and a Labatt for himself*

*turns in time to see DTh coming and goes all Matrix with a back bend to avoid the blow while picking up a pillow of his own and pummels DTH*

Okay, PR. This is something I'd normally do by PM, but since you brought it up in a thread I'll respond here.

I haven't ignored you. At least not on purpose. My net time is very limited (as my pathetic blog can attest - I *must* update that soon! Not to mention those waiting on animations I promised *ages* ago!) and I don't always spot people's posts. Sorry, but that's how it is. Similar apologies to LA and Whimsy. I'm genuinely sad that you felt left out, Whimsy as I actually admire you a hell of a lot.

I don't like Chris much, and he doesn't like me much. I disagree with pretty much everything he posts and he does the same with me. Heck, the first thing he ever asked me was if taking medication for depression made me feel like a weak person. For those who ever want to irritate the hell out of me - that's the perfect question to ask! All that being said, we still manage to post in the same threads without starting world war three (much as Chris likes war.) We just, well, disagree with each other whenever and ignore each other whenever else.

You are never going to like every poster on a posting board, and every poster is never going to like you. I *know* I annoy the heck out of people on this board, simply because of who I am and what I'm like. It's bound to happen and it's not a big deal. Even if the person is downright offensive you're much better off tackling the issue than just deciding he's a psycho. I could call Piratenews all kinds of names, but reading the links that he posts to back up his claims and then pointing out that none of them say any of the things he says they say is a hell of a lot more effective. (Plus, you know, funny!) Emotion should certainly fuel an argument - that's what passionate debate is all about - but it should never control it.

Now lets get to the real issue.

You're jealous of Chris.

He's getting attention and you're not. And you're jealous.

I don't think you even realise that's what's going on, but there it is. And it's downright wrong because, personally, I like you more than I like Chris and I'm fairly certain other posters do too. And if they don't ... so what??? Are you *seriously* going to feel ignored because people are responding to someone you don't like???

I *know* you know better than that. And I know you know that you can't force people to pay attention to you! (God knows I've tried!) You just have to post and see who bites.

The LAST thing ANYONE should EVER do is seethe and simmer about it for ages and then blow up in the middle of a thread. If you think someone is ignoring you on purpose you can always PM them and ask what gives. That's part of what PMs are for. I mean, c'mon! You *know* MSG! She's like the biggest mother hen on the planet and the most plainspoken person there is. If you've annoyed her, she'll tell you straight. If you haven't, she knows all about smothering people with love! Same with Tristan. Okay, maybe he's not quite so much of a mother hen, but I have my suspicions. I think he hides it to add an extra air of manliness.

I don't mean for this to be an attack on you. That's the last thing in the world I want to do, especially since you've obviously upset about this. I just had to respond when I saw your post, partly to reach out to you and partly to defend two other posters I happen to like a lot.

So don't be upset, okay? We're all friends here.

*spots Chrismoorehead looking at her*

Okay. Except when we're not. Oh, you know what I mean!

OK it seems that there is only one way to settle this........
*PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe*

*walks to yet another secret compartment behind the bar (seeing a pattern here maybe?) and pulls out a huge plastic item and places it in the center of the Common Room*

It seems "what we've got here is failure to communicate".

*pushes a button on the side of the item*

Now remember "some people you just can't reach"

*walks behind the Bar and waits as the wading pool inflates.

"which is the way he wants it"

*when the pool is inflated pulls another hidden lever and green Jello falls from the Ceiling into the pool, filling it*

"I don't like this anymore then you"

*reaches under the counter and pulls out a strong box* Opens it and removes 3 Bikinis. Throws them on the floor in front of the pool*

Alright ladies! It seems the only way to settle this is Jello Wrestling!

LETS GET IT ON!!!

PR, I would apologize, but I don't feel the need to. I don't hate you, am not deliberately ignoring you (nor am I actively seeking you out, either), or anything of the sort. Going out of my way not to say anything to you? Not so much...just nothing you have said following the marriage comments awhile back prompted a response in me. As for the Imponderable threads, people come and go in there all the time. I try to say hello to everyone I can, but sometimes it just doesn't happen and people feel slighted. I don't get offended if I am gone for awhile and no one says anything...and I do NOT feel like I am being deliberately ignored, either. The key is to not let things like that get to you. And your reaction to MSG? Totally uncalled for.
It's not worth carrying on, but I have wasted enough time in a happy thread. DTH pretty much summed it up.

Y'all enjoy yourselves!

* is happy that the sodas have screw on caps, to keep the fun things out of it *

* brushes a few marshmallows and a gummi bear out of the bowl of the pipe and passes it to LA *

* peeks out the windows of the smoking room, between the blinds, to keep an eye on the newly inflated and filled pool *
