I wouldn't worry so much about needing a monarch to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. No one takes your monarchy serious anymore.

Is that why all you yanks fly over here to take pictures of Buckingham Palace and attempt to tease the palace guard?

Yes, that's why we all tease the palace guards!

And, I'm pretty sure I don't have to eat anything chickeny to know I won't like it. I'm just smart like that.

Do you not like Chicken? Did I miss something? Was I supposed to know this? Oh yes, you don't eat meat.

Man I'm so stupid.

Coronation Quorn?

it is made of mayonaise.... wierd.

anyway, I didn't like it, to many rasins.

grrr, i have the sniffles and the sneezes and a dentists appointment tomorrow. bug ger.

but i was a very good girl today and at least got three online job applications filled out and another 9 printed out to be sent off.

I tell you what - i have to buy another cartridge of printer ink for my brother now and on top of stamps and stationary, its so expensive applying for jobs if i don't get one out of this i'm going to sue, i don't know who, but i'm getting crazy enough to try it.

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

Oh, I hate doing applications. That's a major accomplishment. Hope you get something shiny. I know you've been rather unhappy for awhile with the shop. I stayed at a miserable job for far too long. I'm glad to have escaped it. I've not found true happiness yet, but I'm far less miserable (aside from that period of uber-stress). More happiness on the way I hope.

I would try Coronation Quorn (I actually like Quorn and I'm not big on fake meat stuff.) How do you make it?

I'll try (nearly) anything once.

This recipe explains it better than me:

Ingredients
For the chicken
2 organic chickens
2 carrots, chopped
2 onions, quartered
roughly chopped leek or celery
1 large bouquet garni
For the sauce
60g/2oz chopped onion
1 tbsp sunflower oil
2 tsp mild or medium curry powder
1 heaped tsp tomato purée
100ml/3½fl oz red wine
60ml/2fl oz water
1 bay leaf
1 slice of lemon
dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice
6 dried apricots
450ml/¾ pint mayonnaise
3 tbsp lightly whipped cream
salt
freshly ground black pepper
pinch of sugar

Method
1. First poach the chicken. Put them whole into two pans and divide the other ingredients between the two. Pour in enough water to just cover the chicken, then bring to the boil. Simmer very gently for around 60 minutes, depending on the size, until cooked right through.
2. Take off the heat and leave to cool in the poaching liquid. When cool reserve the poaching liquid to use as chicken stock in other dishes.
3. To make the coronation sauce, begin by softening the onion in the oil without browning. Add the curry powder, tomato purée, wine, water, bay leaf, lemon slice and juice. Simmer uncovered for 5-10 minutes or until reduced by about half, then strain and leave to cool.
4. Put the apricots in a pan with barely enough water to cover and simmer until very tender. Liquidise, adding a little extra water if needed. Leave to cool.
5. Mix the mayonnaise with the strained curry sauce and the apricot purée and some salt, pepper and sugar (if needed) to taste. Fold in the whipped cream.
6. Strip the meat from the cold, poached chickens and tear into bite-sized pieces. Toss in enough of the flavoured mayonnaise to coat nicely.

Just replace chicken for Quorn I suppose?

That sounds like a lot of work just to make a fancy chicken salad.

What's garni?

And, where are the raisins?

Fancy chicken salad! I'll have you know young lady that this is the queens own coronation fancy chicken salad! The like of which a colonial such as yourself could only dream to taste

Besides as far as curries go it's actually really simple.

Garni is either garnish spelt wrong, or a dislexic person who works for the carnival.

Dried apricots/raisins, same thing.
