Well, your first point is in error, sorta. While he didn't the whole chat with Wes, well, listen to it again. It took me time to figure out exactly who or what Wes was on about.
As to your second point, Remember the chat she had with Harmony?

Nah, I gotta stand by what I said. I became a fan after watching season 2 and 3.. every freaking episode was linear.. where the last one ended, the next began.. they talked about shit that if you hadn't been watching the show, you were lost.. I love that kinda special treatment. I just miss it in season 5.. I wanted their NAMES said..
as far as Fred goes.. remember when Wes and Gunn first started talking about her.. it took weeks for them to do anything about it.. that kind of build up is really nice to watch in my opinion and I think this time through it just lacked.. even if she HAD been after Wes for a few eps (which I certainly didn't see it) it wouldn't have been long enough.. she should have to work a hell of alot harder for him dammit
Wes is the man, and she shoulda seen it a loooong time ago (yes, I have issues)

In the meantime, I'm with those who are big fans of "Smile Time." Puppet Angel is an image I will treasure until the end of my days. 
I can't wait to watch it again with my brother.
The next week clips have me as worried as everyone else, though...
