Ron Glass at FarpointCon, feb 16th-18th

Ron Glass will be Guest of Honor for FarpointCon 2007 in Hunts Valley MD, Feb 16th-18th. Joining him on the Guest List will be Alice Kirge (The Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact, Several Episodes of ST: Voyager, and was also in Children of Dune), Richard Hatch (From the current BSG, and Apollo in the Original BSG), Harve Bennett (Producer of Star Trek II, III, IV and V). This is described as a "Sci/Fi Media Con" as opposed to a StarTrek Con (Though it Is, for the most part). Among the Guest list are a great many Authors, including our own Krad, Author of the Serenity Novelization.

I am really pumped for this. A lot of Maryland area BCs are coming, some are even working as Volunteers. I'm coming all the way from Indiana, and I hope to meet a lot of the new friends I've made here and on other BC Forums.

The Deadline for Hotel reservations is the 15th of this month, and the deadline for Con reservations is the 31st!

*sigh* Figures....I was all set to be there with Mals on to see/meet Summer, but I'll probably be moving back to New England by the end of this month.... I'm a recovering Trekkie anyway. A Starfleet uniform's got nothin' on a Browncoat.

Alas, the latest update says Summer can't come due to commitments to her new tv show, but Ron Glass will be there instead. Still awesome!

She has a recurring role on 'The Unit', which I believe airs on CBS on Mondays at 9PM. My folks love the show - my mom, being the sheep nut that she is, likes to call it 'The Ewe-Knit'.

I happened to catch one of Summer's episodes last time I visited; brought the folks one very long heavy step toward conversion!

Thanks, I knew about her recurring role on the Unit (Which I hope they will expand on; she's not even listed as part of the cast in the Credits!) and there's her recurring role as Tess Doerner on The 4400.

But she bowed out of the FarpointCon because of a "New" Role on a "New" Show that starts filming right away. That's from the FarpointCon website. Not knowing what it is drives me nuts! If she went to England I'll really freak, because there have been bizzarre rumors of something being afoot with her and Joss on a "Side project". Doubt that that is it, however!
