Hello Browncoats! I've decided to join your ranks if that's ok with everyone here? A little bit about me...

I'm 27. I'm from VA. Haven't been there long, but it is very nice. I'm a poet and very big Bruce Campbell fan. Those two just fit so well together, don't they?

The story of my arriving here is complicated, actually. I first encountered Firefly on the Scifi channel. I enjoyed it very much. Just my kind of show, unique. But it didn't go much further than that. Then Serenity had come out in theaters and I thought to myself that looks very familar. I didn't actually see the movie till it came out on DVD. I had been talking with a friend of mine on another site who happened to be a very big fan and she helped me put two and two together. After that, I bought the series and the movie and have loved it ever since. I'm just livid that the show got canceled! Who the hell does that to a brillant piece of art?

Now getting here, well, that was the work of your fellow Browncoat. After much prodding and my constant "no's" she finally got me to come over here and make myself known. Now I'm glad that she did because this place seems very interesting. Not like most fan forums I've seen. So I hope to get to meet all of you.

welcome abandonedcorsair..don't feel too bad about 'how ya got here'...you're here now and that's what counts! I never saw the series when it aired, because F*x aired the eps out of order and bumped the show for playoff games so it never had a chance. I saw the movie first and then got the DVD's just last Aug...I am now a huge fan and, like you, righteously furious that this incredible program was dumped. Compared to what's on tv now...oh, it's tragic. Anyhoo... hang around, more of us will be along shortly to fit you with a virtual browncoat...offer some mudder's milk and strawberries...again..welcome.

We're glad that you found your way to FFF.net. It is a friendly group of Browncoats. I agree with your friend that this is an interesting place with very intelligent people with diverse backgrounds. HOWDY AC!!! nice to have you with the crew... I don't know that we have a poet on board.. well, I reckon Book might be the closest, and when River dances it IS poetry in motion.. well now come to think about it,, Jayne gets right poetical when he talks about Vera.. hell, let me just say, you are among friend Poet AC.. was away... and, uhm, easy on that mudders the first few times.. it can wreak havoc on the rhyming bits...

We LOVE all the new recruits, so poke around the corners of FFF and join the conversations any old time...

Welcome aboard, abondoned....*whew*. How's AC sound ? Haa haa, another Bruce Campbell fan, eh? I'm sure that'll fit in just fine in these parts.

What's so cool about this place is we gots newbies like yourself, crusty old vets who fell in love w/ FIREFLY from the get go, and the truly demented Whedonites who were all over Joss's new 'verse even before our BDHs hit the air! ( I happen to fall into middle of the pack, myself. )

Seems as if you've been showered with good food and good greetings... time for you to get your browncoat. 'Course it's not a real browncoat... but it's a symbol that you belong here, and are a Browncoat your ownself.

Make yourself to home. The chocolate iceplanets are particularly good. And the shimmerwine. I'd stay away from the mudder's milk if I were you.

Thank you, TheRealMe, for that thread link. I'm getting such a rise out of that. I'll have to watch the eposodes some more and see if I can't add my own.

I will definitely have to get some recruiting done. I was told that is one of the things Browncoats do best.

Thanks, FollowMal, sorry I kind of posted same time you did so 'edit'. Coat seems to fit well. And why is the mudder's milk too much for me? I promise I'm a big boy. I can take it.
