I like video games quite a bit.so much that Some say i would make a better five year rather than a fifteen year. My questiona here is would anyone like to see their favorite video games turned into a really good movie like resident evil rather than a crappy one like blood rayne

Someday the verse will spit in your soup but at least they gave you soup.
one day
one plan
one mission
one army of browncoats
june 23rd serenity day

-Our mission as browncoats is to make us known.

I'll have to give this some thought. Many have been made in the last few years, most of which didn't interest me. I have to say that the ones that jump into my mind have a strong feel of watching a movie already when playing them. Max Payne, for example, jumped right into my head, but making a movie of it almost seems silly. The entire game was set up like a hybrid of animation and graphic novel. I would love to see it done justice though.

I don't know, most movies turned into games suck, as do games into movies (ex. Mortal Kombat, good game but the movies are cheesy beyond belief). Halo is already being turned into a movie so I think that about covers it.

Sadly many of the directors that make movies from games are rookies. Since there aren't many hard hitting blockbusters from video games most studios don't want to risk putting a ton of money into anything. On another note I kinda wish they'd make a really good Serenity video game.

I think they could make a good animated movie based on the Oddworld universe.

Prince of Persia could potentially make an interesting movie.

There are a few games that I think would be good material for movies, like Prince of Persia and Metal Gear Solid (both of which are in development as movies), but most game to movie adaptations have sucked sooo badly that I'd almost prefer they left them alone.

The only one I have thought was really worth half a damn was Silent Hill, and that had an Oscar-winning writer on board, something most of these adaptations don't have.

We'll see how the next batch comes together. Off the top of my head, they are about to start filming on Hitman, starring Timothy Olyphant. The script has gotten good reviews, and Olyphant was cool as hell on Deadwood, so we'll see.

There's also 2 different Castlevania movies coming - one animated and one live-action. The animated one is being written by one of my favorite comic writers, Warren Ellis, so I'm hopefull there. The live-action one is being done by Paul Anderon (of Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil ...er... fame). The best thing I've ever had to say about any of his movies was "It wasn't as bad as I expected", but that's not saying much.

"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

I'd love to see an anime Legend of Zelda movie.

And how could I forget...Rainbow Six or Splinter Cell. Tom Clancy's games could easily be made into movies. I would actually really be surprised if there is never a movie made about Sam Fisher.

Tekken, perhaps my favorite 3D Fighter, is already being made into a movie. The director wants to go back to the martial arts roots and make the movie like Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, with everyone having their own fighting style and story for why they're in the tournament. If they are able to bring back that feel then perhaps it'll be a good movie.
