Hello to all you fine people here. I've been watching Firefly since I got it on DVD just after it was cancelled, but finally lost it after the third or fourth watch-through and had to find somewhere to channel the frustration. This looks like a comfy enough place, so I think I'll stay a while.

When I first saw Firefly, I went straight to my computer and googled it and came to this place immediately... and I'm glad I did. Because I ordered the DVD set and after watching it non-stop when I received it, I was just blown away that there wasn't more! This place was a haven, where there were other folks just like me, who "got" that what we were seeing was just a little bit more than your average "watch and turn away" tv show. I have a family here, and I hope you come to feel that way too.
I'm the supply clerk around this place and I give new folks their very own virtual browncoat.. sort of symbolizes your arrival amongst us as crew.

Welcome! I see FollowMal beat me here; usually I show up quick enough to say, "FollowMal will be around soon to issue you your very own brown coat"--but I guess it's too late for that.
So, glad to have a new recruit. You'll find that this is one of the more welcoming fandoms--don't make no difference when you fell in love, so long as it's Firefly you love.
