Just saw this on the WB.

Gosh that was good, I didnt like the dismembering of the puppets at the end but I loved that they played it out JUST like all the other fight scenes on Angel even though it had puppets...

Sucks its getting cancelled though *sighs*

I wish they would have told what happened ot the Puppeteer guy though, left me wondering.

thoughts? Comments?

Did anyone else notice that Knox was played by the private...um...shoot...I can't remember his name or even the episode he was in. He was in firefly...I want to say "safe" but I could be wrong. I almost spazed out when I saw him (I just started watching angel so I didn't realize until now he was on the show.)

In closing, how cool is it that Joss wrote and directed the next episode?

That's Johnathon Woodward, and the episode you were thinking of is "The Message". He was on Buffy as well, in "Conversations with Dead People".

Yeah, he was also the vamp buffy talked to. Does anyone else remember Fred calling someone named Tracey? I wonder if that was just a coincidence? since the private was tracey. maybe I'm just looking into it too much. I liked the part

No! I’m telling you! The puppets were really the FOX Executives! The part about stealing the soul of the viewers, (it was in the commercial, so not a spoiler) well if you think about the scene you will see it! The total disregard for any of the viewers!! They REALLY ARE out to get us!!

Now, now, this is TOTALLY different. Werewolf Girl's boob exposure was absolutely integral and obviously necessary to the telling of this story.

Just like the lingering shot from behind as she began to slide her low cut pants down her bare, well toned, beautiful back...

ahem.

I must say though that I thoroughly enjoyed this episode! Joss Whedon and Ben Edlund gave us an incredibly good story that balanced 'laugh out loud funny' with 'dark, creepy, scary'. That is not easy to do, and those guys are masters!

And, along with the main story, two very important situations regarding Fred, Wesley and Gunn were addressed.

Although a possible new romance is being approached for Angel, I'm having trouble buying that. All that curvy skin exposure aside, Werewolf Girl still doesn't seem to have the depth required to really be believably involved with Angel. Just my opinion

That one gripe aside, the episode was fantastic! Mr. Whedon and Mr. Edlund must have been laughing their arses off while writing this gem!

when the Angel puppet turned into a vampire was quite funny, and so was the cotton stuffing that came out when he was wounded. Great stuff. He was still Angel which was a great point of the story and I also enjoyed it when the puppet kicked Spike's ass.

how angel doesn't even mention buffy or cordy when he talks about relationships.. this "every episode is a one shot thing" is nice.. but man does it leave some thing to be desired sometime.

And of coarse i am happy for wes but WTF?!! how many seasons has he loved fred and then all of a sudden in ONE episode she "falls for him"??? not all that believable sadly.
