Free TV_Vote Contest: Predict when Firefly will go over 125,000 and win a prize!
Over the past months, you may have seen one or more of these threads like:

This is a "fan power" survey, where you can vote once an hour as many times as you wish for your favorite shows. Firefly has been doing very well here. In an effort to keep interest up, I've decided to run this -fun- little contest.
Winner may select a prize from any of the retailers listed here, maximum value (including shipping and handling!) of $20.

Rules: one entry per human being, posted here. If you have multiple FFF accounts, please only make one prediction. Once you predict, no changes. In the event of a tie, winner will be selected by die roll, said die roll to be audited by my lovely wife. No fee to enter. Entry must be made by midnight EST Dec 31; no entries accepted after that.
No obligation to buy anything. If you lose, you can't sue me. All decisions final.
Winner will have to provide me a shipping address or address to send check to **.
No trick, no gimmick, I have nothing to gain from this (and $20 to lose ;-) ). Exactly one prize will be given away; no more.
How to play: Pick the date that you think firefly will go over 125,000 votes; then estimate what the "total votes" we will have that day, without going over ("total votes" will be the first tie breaker). In the event of a tie, the person who guesses the closest, without going over, to the number of "total votes" recorded for the day will win; if that's a tie, winner will be selected at random.
Suggestions: There's been a number of threads discussing the TV_vote; latest being. Check out some of the stats before picking a date.

Eg: If you go to this URL, you will see that there's a date at the top: http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html
The winning date will the date at the top of the page where the page shows 125,000 -or more- votes for firefly. Say this date is January 3, 2007 (hey, I can dream!), and the vote total for that date is 125,444. Four people guess this date with the following "total vote that day" guesses:
a) 125,445
b) 125,400
c) 125,400
d) 125,111
Person a) will be out of contention; as they "went over". person d) is out of contention because there's two people who were closer in their guess than he/she. Persons b) and c) will enter a random selection process, and one will be chosen as the winner of the prize.
** I've never done business with any of these retailers and I reserve the right to send a check for $20 to the winner if I have a hard time either meeting payment method requirements (ie: I don't have paypal) or have trouble getting them to ship to an alternative address.
One final note; if those that run this site determine this contest is problematic in any way, the contest is immediately cancelled and no prize will be awarded.

Dang, I knew I'd forget something. If no one picks the correct date; again, we will go with "closest without going over". Thus if the correct date is Jan 3, some folks guess Jan 1, other guess Jan 4; it will be the folks on Jan 1 (closest without going over); then ties broken by total vote guess, etc.

You didn't guess a "total" for the tie breaker. If folks don't put in a total guess, then their guess is -exactly- on the money; ie: 125,000.
Ecgordon... feel free to ammend with a total guess for the day if you want something besides exactly 125,000; but you can't change the day.
