Alright, no Harry Potter-ness, but I thought I'd show everyone what's been happening the last few days...
On Tuesday it started snowing
Yesterday the camera batteries were dead and had to charge, but here's what it looks like now, today, after my stepdad shoveled all day yesterday

Me lifting a shovel piled with snow
And standing in the backyard
Which looks like this on the side; the wind carved this weird hollow out, so you can see how deep the drifts are
The other side of the backyard and the buried tree
Yes, lots of boring pictures of white stuff, but I really, really have nothing else to do. Even my car (the lovely white Subaru you can all see there) can't yet make it out. Tim, my stepdad, worked for hours just to clear the sidewalk and a block of snow from in front of my car. I might be all dug out before Sunday when I have to go back to work (and hooray for double-time!) but in the meantime, I can't really go anywhere and I'm seriously grocery-deprived.
I know you all believed how bad it was, but hey, visual aides are our friend. And I'm bored
♪Oh the weather outside is frightful... ♪

I think the pics are great, PR. While that much snow is a bit overboard, I'd at least like a small dusting here in Maryland.
It's 62 degrees here today. Ridiculous.
And, my sis-in-law is supposed to be flying from Birmingham to Denver tomorrow AM!

Thanks for sharing the snow pics PR, and though I know you don't think so, it looks really pretty.

'cause the Roman Gods up to that point were crap. Jeff, the god of biscuits, and Simon, the god of hair-dos.

Oh Gladiator, that's a great Jayne figure! Fabulous! And LOL @ never complaining about the cold again! Would you believe this isn't even the worst storm I've seen? March of 2002 it dumped 5 feet of heavy snow on northern Colorado. My car was quite literally buried and everything was shut down for about three days. It was great sculpting snow, but I couldn't stand to stay out in it long enough to clear a space and then make anything; it was just too cold and the snow was too heavy and came up to my shoulders.
Ooooooh, Mavs, please send a bit of that warmth our way; it would be great help to melt a bit of this down...
Best of luck to your sis-in-law, though I'm sure DIA has been thoroughly plowed by now.
And I do think it's pretty, RIMG, I'm just getting a touch of cabin fever is all.

PR, with you sharing all your pretty snow pictures, I'm feeling left out! So, here's some my mom took (yesterday or the day before that, I think):
My dad couldn't go anywhere, so he just shoveled a lot, until he made this.
Just something funny with our two grills and little table.
Oh, no! Our lawn chairs are buried!
