Run DMC did "Walk This Way" with Aerosmith who did the theme song for Armageddon, which starred Billy Bob Thornton who was in Love Actually with Chiwetel Ejiofor, The Operative. I spent my afternoon nap figuring this one out.

My Run DMC was much more involved of course, but you got much closer than I expected anyone to get. Run DMC did Walk this Way with Steven Tyler and Areosmith, his daughter Liv Tyler was in LOTR with Hugo Weaving, who was in The Matrix with Laurence Fishbourne, whose wife is Gina Torres of Firefly.
Roseanne Barr was in She-Devil with Ed Begley Jr. who just did a stint of Veronica Mars, where one Joss Whedon took a turn in front of the cameras and he is loosely attached to Firefly somehow.
Try this one. OJ Simpson.

It did throw me for a bit. My Roseanne was much simpler too, Glenn Quinn played her son in law Mark and he was in Angel a few seasons before Gina Torres. I am boring.
Ok, OJ Simpson. All roads lead to The Operative with me it seems. OJ was in The Cassandra Crossing with Richard Harris who was in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone with Alan Rickman who was in Love Actually with the aforementioned Operative. I'm sorry for over-using, but EVERYONE was in that movie.

But I forgot to leave one so we'll use yours. This wasn't easy (for me)and I had to call in reinforcements but here's what I came up with. James Arness was in How The West Was Won with Kathryn Holcomb, who was in Simon and Simon. M.C. Gainey was in Simon and Simon and also in Lost with Matthew Fox who starred in Party of Five with Sean Maher who was in Firefly. Are we the only people playing anymore?

That was kinda long, but who can resist referencing "Temple of Doom" AND "Dr. Strangelove"? (Dan Akroyd was Mr. Webber. The guy with an English accent who escorted Indy to a plane "filled with live poultry." FYI)

Harry Dean Stanton was in The Godfather with Andy Garcia who was in Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead with Treat Williams who is in Heartland with Morena Baccarin who was in Firefly. There was a shorter connection but I refuse to use Love Actually again.

Michael Ironside was in "Starship Troopers" which lent its space marine costumes to Alliance soldiers in "The Train Job." (Is there any truth to this, or is this just a rumor because the costumes look VERY similar?)
But if you are looking for a more human connection...Michael Ironside was in "Starship Troopers" with Denise Richards who was in "Wild Things" with Kevin Bacon who was in "Flatliners" with Julia Roberts who was in "Hook" with Robin Williams who was in "Patch Adams" with Alan Tudyk.
