No worries Ben! Most of us are in similiar situations, I've been at my parents for a few days now and all I've been able to do is fill in the gaps when my little brother forgets to vote. Definitely not getting in my normal 12-16.
We'll pick things up with a few +1000 days after the new year.

This is a post I lifted from the Bonanza board. It was made by Ellen in response to a comment made by someone who couldn't understand why we were getting so many votes, as the show was only on for "15" episodes: I thought the response was funny. Mostly because it's so true!
Well, they don't understand us either! But if we were all alike, the world would be a dull place. I remember watching Firefly when it was on, and I thought it was pretty good, but when it was cancelled it didn't make the world stop turning for me. The Firefly fans have built their own little universe, and they are having a good time with it, so good for them! (Our families think we're a little strange, imagine what their families and friends must think!)

The implication was that since FF was on for 15 episodes and got canceled, it couldn't have a fan base. "Nobody watched"
Bonanza was on for 14 _years_, FF for 15 episodes. There are typically 26 episodes per year. That would imply that FF was... do the math... about 25 times as good! 
Back in the day when BZ was on, the network execs probably looked at the ratings after BZ was on for three months. Doing good? OK keep it on.
For FF, F*x executives waited until the opening credits to end, looked at the numbers and said "it isn't doing as good as a reality program with women with big ***s, cancel it". Blame F*x, blame society's need for instant gratification.
No doubt it would be still on if given a chance. And making money for F*x.
Hey! Bonanza got canceled, too!

Listen: Cheers to Bonanza fans. They are showing their support. I gave BZ a try, it was nice, but I'm not a rabid fan. Loved FF - fully fanatic.
BZ was nice, but not because of guns and horses. It was good because of the Cartwrights and the character interaction that made their "ship fly".
FF wasn't about horses and rocket-ships. It was about the Serenity family and the character interaction that made their ship fly.
Bonanza fans: Give FF a try. Do I expect a full about face and a departure from your camp to ours? No. But you might enjoy FF for what it has to offer.
