Whenever I watch Serenity I always get a laugh when Kaylee gets shot and the Simon the doctor runs over and says "how do you feel".. Muahahahahaa! Surely he must have an idea how she feels.

I imagine she feels like shes been shot.

I'd have to go back to that episode, but I think he asked her if she could feel her legs, that was why she responded "are you asking me to dance?"

Go back and check if you like, his first exact words to Kaylee are "how do you feel". About 2 mins later he asks if she can move her feet

"how do you feel" Haahahhah.. funny stuff.

With the whole Kaylee shot thing, that still makes me afarind she might die. But I love it later when Mal goes to Simon and says that she died. "You are psycotic." Just so funny to see them laughing.

The question "How do you feel?" Isn't so much to get information then it is to focuse the paitent and try and keep them form going into shock. Her responce dons't matter, it's jsut to keep her talking. People can die from a shoulder wound if they go into shock badly enough, if you brain is convinded you'll die, you will.

Kaylee - "I've got this niggling pain in my abdomen, kinda feels like a large hunk of metal has impacted me at great force shredding my internal organs!"

I understand what you're saying Radar75 and while I dont disagree entirely, this scene still makes me chuckle.

Its kinda like when I accidentaly cut my foot with a circular power saw one day, the foot was dangling, blood was spurting everywhere and my brother says "are you allright?" What do you suppose my response to him was?

P.S. I made a full recovery some months later if anyone was concerned..
