Well this is actually a pretty weird story. My band performs at videogame/comic/anime conventions here in FL, and one time we were asked to be guests at a Con in Jacksonville. The headline guest was HellBoy, but another guest was Jewel Staite. Our flutist was flipping out when he heard because he was a huge fan of the show. I, myself, did not think anything of it, but I am kicking myself in the head for not even getting to meet her. He ended up getting her autograph and pic and stuff. I only remembered her from when I used to watch her work as a kid. Now, that I just finished watching the series and movie, I am just floored. I am now a converted FireFly fan, and if I ever get to be a guest with any of them again I VOW to not let that opportunity get away again.

I think you should have named the thread "Sad Story." Glad you came around to the 'Verse, but too bad you didn't know about it earlier.

I just noticed that you are new to FFF.net. Welcome aboard. It's a great place to be, and a great place to hear if Jewel will be coming to your area again. It's a friendly group of people here. If you ever need anything, just get on the Cortex and send us a wave. There is always someone around.

*bump*
TheJohnCheng, I thought I'd bump your post up to the top, so that others could read your story.

I did check out your web site. Cool idea to play the music from video games.

Thanx for the welcome, I'm glad to be a part of it. It is just really cool to see so many people who are as into the show as myself.

Yeah... I agree about the "Sad Story" title, instead. But, anyway,

I totally agree. Most of my real life friends think I'm over the top in my obsession of Firefly, but here at FFF.net I'm right at home. There are so many that are into the show as much as I am, and there are even some that are more obsessed than I am.

Welcome home, #24010, thejohncheng!
Have a strawberry and a mug of Mudder's
Milk.

Come on up to the galley to question the
buffet. Ice-planets are down to only vanilla
and chocolate, but we put a note on the
fridge and there'll be more soon.

Keep spreading the Jewel/Firefly/Serenity
love wherever and whenever you can.

Do I have to have Mudder's Milk?

No, you don't need to have the Mudder's Milk. It's just there if you want to give it a try. It does taste nasty, but it's got a punch.

Consumption of Mudder's Milk has a prime function
in certain rites of passage which are practiced
throughout the 'Verse, but we'll not hold you to
it here. Have a small sip and make up your own
mind. ::-)

There is also shimmerwine, spring water from a
variety of sources, root beer, Kaylee's very
fresh inter-engine wine and, if you hang about
long enough there'll be the hodgeberry wine from
the wild crush party we held many months ago.

Or put a note on the fridge for the next re-supply
mission. Special orders are filled when possible.
