I just finished reading all the posts at whedonesque.
To everyone that is a ticket-holder (especially those with lifetime memberships): my extreme gratitude goes out. I can't imagine what you guys are going through.
To those that are still going: Have a great time, and I know you guys will have fun despite the circumstances.
To the organizers of the Browncoat Backup Bash: People like you are what gives the word "Browncoat" meaning.
To Adam, Nathan, and all the other BDH's: A googol times, thanks. You'll never know how much fans appreaciate your support.
It's wonderful that some good can still come out of all of this.

Though I live in NoCal and can not attend, I donated $20 to help my fellow Browncoats with the back-up plan. I hope the best for everyone and huge thanks to those BDHs both on screen and off.
Having both Adam Baldwin and now Mark Sheppard have made appearances, both gentlemen who showed their quality, is very shiny.

Adam is awesome. I was one of the unfortunate many to have been at the hotel yesterday to find out Flan was cancelled. Unfortunately, my mother and I couldn't afford for me to be there the whole weekend with nothing certain going on and I spent today(much like Thursday) on planes going home. But I did get to meet Adam. He signed my "Damned Flanvention Cancelled" shirt(fellow thursday night lobbyers know what this is) after a few tears were shed. I was sick all week and suffering from a fever and he just made my day. I was going to post a picture of my shirt, but alas my luggage was lost. Perfect ending I say. But enough with my sob stories. I'm so happy something's going to happen there. I met some incredible people while I was there. I love all you guys. If anyone wants to e-mail to say hi and tell me what's all going on there my e-mail is jfrater at charter dot net. I already miss everyone I met last night. I can't say enough about how nice everyone was to me.

Kudos to the California Browncoats for stepping up and getting something orgainzed for the folks expecting to go to FlanII. I'm so glad to hear that Adam showed up....what a Hero.
I hope more of the BDHs attend and make it worthwhile for those that paid for this weekend.

Lets see how do I explain this.
There is a website called Serenity Tales http://serenitytales.typepad.com/
that collects cartoons about Firefly/Serenity. And one of the cartoons is 'Notes on a Fridge [on a spaceship]' which is notebook paper notes from the Captain and crew left on Serenity's fridge. Very funny stuff. Well, there is now a note on the fridge about going to help out some Browncoats in CalBurba

crap-crap-crappity-crap!!!
OK well.,.. I couldn't attend the (too-pricey) Flanvention in the first place (although I live in L.A.).
Now, all of this is very compelling ...however... I have to be at Th' Office on Saturday from about 7AM to ...ummm... about 8PM.
AND!!!... it'd take me another hour to drive up to Burbank when I finally get to leave. Will any of all'y'all still be at the hotel should I get there to oooxxxooo y'all 'round 9PM or so?
I mean... we're talking effort here, eh? I'd love t'give Nate & Adam (and all My delightful Browncoats) ...well... "The Privilege of the Company of My UnbeLIEVable Charisma." But... it's going to be my 2nd 16-hour ballbuster-day in a row (with another t'follow) and... I simply can't make That Effort if there's nothin' happenin'... (for example) ...if Cappy took back off for Edmonton, or wherever he spends th' night...
