No comeback for that one, PN?
I'll take that as an agreement on the validity of the Moon landing.
The Mars one was definitly faked, though.

I understand that BOTH the Moon and the Mars landing were really in "Iowa" (read that as a back lot in southern NJ)

With this announcement and the 'finding' of possible liquid water on Mars, I wonder if this isn't just an attempt by the folks at NASA to appeal to the new power base in Washington D.C. I'm all in favor for it, it's been too long. But I doubt very much that NASA will find any sympathy w/ the "socially" minded Democrats. The vision of John F. Kennedy, they don't have.

For someone who is not a Democrat, you sure seem to think you can read our minds.

Iowa doesn't exist.

Besides, they'll never get the project off the ground, apparently the "socially" minded Democrates don't want it and the "war" minded Republicans certainly don't. Unless they can get a fricken laser on the fricken moon of course.

They call it the "Alan Parsons" project.

I never claimed to be able to read minds. That's the stuff of science fiction. ( Honey, we live on a space ship ) hee hee. But seriously, it's something called 'spec-u-lation'. I'm a big advocate for all things spacey. Even Kevin Spacey. But when 2 stories about space suddenly pop up at the same time, it does seem curious. I could be completely wrong, but it's not unknown for NASA to promote such stories like water on Mars to reinvigerate public interest in the space program.
