So I just got back into town yesterday, after having spent the week in Las Vegas. I hate that city! I'm allergic to the water - have you ever heard of such a thing?? I broke out in little red bumps all over my body. Shiny! Yeah...right. Hoover Dam and Boulder City were nice, though.
I've noticed that no matter where I go - and I've done some pretty extensive travel - I'm always the happiest when coming home!
I like the snow and I like the cold - kills all the bad stuff!

Hey all,
As someone who has spent all but the last 3 years of her life in Minnesota, I'm always tickled at how proud we all are of where we come from. My fiance was converted to MN pride when we lived there, and whenever I try to tell other people about how great it is, he always says "shh! don't tell anyone! It's OUR secret!"
This thread also made me think of something someone said to me right after I moved to Chicago: "Oh, you're from Minnesota? So when are you moving back?" To which I replied "what?" And she said "well, that's the thing about Minnesotans. You all move away for a while, but you all move back eventually."
