oohh... My most favourite xmas gift ever was a giant stuffed (soft toy kinda thing) gorilla when i was about 6. It was slighty bigger than me at the time and looked kinda fierce to everyone else, i just thought it was the cutest thing ever.
So, on xmas eve i watched this Alf (yeah! who remembers Alf!?) xmas special where Alf is mistaken for a toy and taken to a kid's hospital in a charity run. the little girl who gets him as her present was my age and in the end of the movie she dies of cancer. her name was tiffany. So, on xmas day, i open up this huge gorilla and i called her Tiffany.
Tiffany went everwhere with me for years and i've still got her.

I got a big doll that came with clothes in a chest when I was around 7 years old. The neat part was that the extra outfits were made by my mother. She even made little slippers. I valued it at the time because I knew how much time and effort she had put into the gift. I love it even more now because it is one of the few things that I still have from my childhood. I just might have to get her out of my closet to look at her.

mornin' Imponderables.

I suppose I should answer my own question. The present I remember most would be my first bike. My brothers both got one on the same Christmas, though they both had training wheels while I didn't. The rode around the yard on the sidewalk and walkway as I worked out how to ride mine by repeatedly trying and falling in the grass of the front yard. Fun times. :)

My WOW moment came when I peeped into the front room and saw a gold bike sitting beside my 'pillow case' that Santa had filled!

My seriously best ever Christmas gift was 10 years ago - I had had 6 weeks of tests and minor surgical proceedures and hospitalisation and found out on Christmas Eve that I didn't have to have brain surgery! Wow - the relief was increadible and I honestly say to this day that it was the best gift ever!!!

MAGDA ! YAY ! MAGDA ! I miss you !

I got jewelry one year from my husband ,but it is ugly and I never wear it.I guess it is the thought that counts after all.

RIMG - I can just picture you as a boy riding your new bike.

Oooohhhh FMF!!!

(virtual hug hug HUG!)

I've missed you! I hope everything is going well in FMF land. And yes, being rid of the a-hole is the greatest gift.

My best friend calls herself "a magnet for geeks, dweebs and assorted nerds." I hope you find a certain Mr Fillion in your stocking this year. You deserve it.

How is everyone this morning? Maryland is finally feeling the winter. No more mid-70's. It's 29 degrees this morning. Tidbit told me his nose hairs froze this morning going out to the car!

Mmmmm. Nice. Warm. Coffee.

EDIT: Good Morning, LA! That's a good lookin' Christmas present you posted above!
And good morning, RIMG! Hello DTH below me!

Morning all! It's early afternoon here and I'm on my lunch break

Best Christmas... hmmm... the years I got my first bike and my first "proper" guitar stand out for me. Overall most Christmases were happy times no matter what I got or didn't get.

Mt favourite recent gift was from my brother Geekmafia. He got me the 'Once More with Feeling' script book. The gift itself was great, but it was my Mum's reaction that made it for me. When Geekmafia was buying it she tried to talk him out of it, saying "I know she's a Buffy fan, but she's seen the episode! Why would she be interested in the script for it?" and Geekmafia kept saying "Trust me! She'll go nuts!" I went nuts. Mum shook her head and told Geekmafia he was right and both of us were officially impossible for her to understand!

mornin LA (well, for this thread), Mav, and DTH.

Mav - it is coldish here, not getting above 50 today ans going back down to the 20s tonight. Gods, I love this weather, and if were any different, my horrible mood would have long overtaken the somewhat shiny one I get from talking to you lovely Browncoats.
