Um, thank you Jonny, for the commentary, and for not considering me a damsel in distress. You're making me wonder now if I should have started a firestorm with certain imponderables rather than just leaving. However, despite how entertaining you would be sure to find it, I do have my sanity to think on.
We've gotten off the subject. Even though there's a new thread, I'll post these here since they seem rather fitting...

I hope that my hijacking of the end of this thread did not offend you or anyone. And while the full engagenment may have been entertainment for us non-combatants, it most assured would have damaged your calm, perhaps to the point that you would have considered leaving our threads, and that thought would be unbearable. I take no offense, not before and not now. I know these things happen, though I do appreciate both you and HK apologizing.
Photography as a career? Not really. I do have dreams of taking pictures and creating art with them (as with my songpics) but I think it would be foolish of me to want to take all the pictures I would need for such things. And making money on anything of the sort, I have found, is an exercise in frustration. Be it writing, painting, graphic design, music, photography, or any other form of artistic expression, it is a hard life unless you strike it big. Even then, even if the money is good, it is a hard life and takes a certain kind of temperment to keep from burning out and losing one's mind. I'm not sure I have such a temperment.
Sorry, I got off on a ramble. My mind carries me down the well-worn paths rather often, and I've thought about trying to make my living as an artist a bit too much. I still think I'd like a job that involved graphic design, at least for awhile. Digital photography would doubtless be a big part of that sometimes.
So the short answer would be "Maybe."
I admit I'm not sure what "Lethal weapon perhaps but never the D in D..." means; 'tis a rather odd saying. However, I did understand what came before that, so thank you. I worked very hard on my toe dexterity when I was bored one summer, and it has stayed with me. It's very useful.

I'm glad you think so. I think so, too. As to leaving completely, I have never been able to do it, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Once I stayed off the threads for a whole week (nearly anyway), but I chatted in the tag and sometimes in the chatroom because there were people I missed. But yes, there is at least one thread series I'm out of for the time being (though I'm still updating the index out of stubborn pride) Will I come back? I guess we'll see. Not looking likely at this point.
If I'm ever off the site entirely, it will be because there is too much Real Life happening. I love all you shiny folk too much to let a few peices of unfinished (and possibly unfinishable) business get in my way of seeing you. Real Life is a different thing, and we'll see how mine goes come the new year.

It's just the way you handle a blade. Seeing that one in your toes and the memory of all your other dagger and swordplay and some hot working over of the big bag, led me the conclusion you are a Lethal Weapon, but you'll never be confused with a D in D (damsel in distress). All clear? I love being cryptic...
As to the whole artist as livelihood thing, I can relate. One of my many career goals was commercial artist, *gazes into mocking abyss of my contributions to the Blue Sun Room* but I was too damn slow ever to make it in the RW. None of us can afford to quit our day jobs, but I still foolishly believe that someday...Anyway, I love your work.
